Series X true 4k, PS5 sub 4k.
Flip side PS5 version has less framerate dips because of this.

2016p is NOT 2160p. They're both dynamic 4k and are sub 4k.

"PS5 and Series X uses dynamic scaling to 4k. Dips fall to 1800p on PS5 and 2016p on Series X. Cube maps are generally in use for reflections and the game utilizes cartoony effects for exhaust, speed boosts etc.....

As for performance, the PS5 takes pole position here with only occasional 1 off dips here and there. Generally, Series X and S falls much more often during normal gameplay and suffers a bit more severely during busier races with lots of cars on screen and I can conclude more effects as well. Series X and S falls into the low 50's in these scenarios."

Xbox series 😶‍🌫️

Did I say otherwise? No I said it having a lower resolution meant it suffered less Frame dips.. but no you get defensive over nothing.

Slightly higher resolution does help with visuals but screen tearing and lower fps/less solid performance negates this with a racer.
Wouldn't you agree?

I think that if you have less than good eyesight, you'll not be that concerned with the extremely blurry ps5 version.
It's interesting that the ps5 struggles so much with resolution this early in.
Maybe the heads of ps5 development had bad eyes?
Either way, as long as you're happy with your console, you really shouldn't care. You do you my friend!

It's not even blurry lol, bad attempt at trolling even for you, bud.

XSS owners play at far worse resolutions and fps and they don't complain. Did you complain of blurry resolutions for Flight sim which is at 1440p , Forza at sub 4k, and Halo infinite sub 4k performance modes too?

Honest question, would you be able to distinguish between the two PS5 and XSX without someone telling you which version is which just by looking ? Probably not.

The irony here is last gen had smaller res differences but ponies lauded their 80p advantage as some huge win, But now that the shoe is on the other foot the larger differences we see this gen don't count. Funny that.

Craperion makes the worst NFS games. I tried it this morning...horrific controls. I don't see anywhere to disable any of the goofy effects. Game looks and runs fine. Everything else is terrible.

No last gen had X1 at constant 900p and PS4 at 1080p for most games which represented a 44% increase in pixel counts at all times. 2016p vs 1800p drop is only 25% difference in pixel counts and that's only for maybe a couple seconds when DRS is active. So this is actually a smaller difference because it's not constant and it's also smaller % difference.

Which was quite noticeable back then. I don't think anyone even notices it with pixel counts 4x higher now unless the internet tells them otherwise. I can't see any difference in 1800c and 2160p in HFW.

But still, this NFS game is a huge POS.

It was more noticeable back then because people had 1080p TVs too so native 1080p would look much better for sure compared to 900p.

Nowadays more people have 4K TVs yet not many native 4K/60 fps AAA/AA games so the difference is even less than before. Most games are upscaled to 4K through their TVs or console so it's harder to check the differences out unless you're magnified 400x on a static image. In motion, 99.9% of the time you feel and see nothing different barring the performance disparity.

It's funny how no one notices these things till a site like DF tells them......

Both moved it away from resolution... because we all know until someone like DF says this game is running at... no one knows because we can't tell.

And most gamers don't give a s*** about it hence why Switch and its games get sales other could only dream of.

At times it looks really nice others meh. I agree with Grubb though, not every game should try to be open world.
Cut out the pointless filler

I really want a new track based Burnout, but they keep pushing out these terrible NFS games.

This game is currently 40% off too and it only launched like 2 weeks a go. Clearly sales are not good.
