Got through the intro levels and I'm not feeling it. Might try it again tonight but with so many other things to play who knows.

I get some choppiness/stutters during explosions on my high end PC (1440p). Really strange.
I get them too. The developers are aware of it and a patch is coming soon.

So I bought the Steam version and uninstalled the GP version. The GP version seems to be an old build by comparison.

GP Version:
Raytracing is disabled no matter what settings are changed.
No difficulty setting. Seems to be on "Easy".
No DLSS

Steam Version:
Raytracing is working. Performance takes a huge hit, even though difference between RT on/off is subtle.
DLSS is a godsend. Amazing IQ and performance boost while RT is enabled.
Has Easy, Normal and Hard difficulty settings. The game is a lot more challenging on Hard.

Wasn’t sure about it when I started it up but once I beat the first mission and the game opened up, I’ve been enjoying it immensely

Try pushing a little further. Intro levels are really basic both visually and in terms of gameplay. This game is fun to look at and play as you go a little further.

Gave it a go on my series X instead of my PC. Plays alot smoother. The PC gamepass version would stutter for no reason while holding a framerate of 60fps. As for the game itself, still feels like its ok nothing extraordinary. Gonna give it more opportunities over the weekend to see if my attitude changes.

Tried it on XSX. The save file xf over from PC so I started where I left off, pretty cool. The game runs just fine but the image is super soft on console in comparison to PC. Like I can't unsee this. Back to PC.

Isn't it around 1440p and to to 4k on xsx? That shouldn't look soft? What size screen you have?

I ended up playing more last night. Finally died a few times (when they tell you a side quest is recommended for level two, and you try to go do it and can't enter the area but get blasted by much higher level enemies in the entrance to that area, that's unfortunate). It's definitely growing on me. Does it always swap you to new equipment when you pick up a new one (i.e., not another copy of the same old one)? That seems like it's happening and is not pleasant.

No you have to manually select new equipment

Tried and the experience is bad. Other than visuals, game sucks. Aim is awful, save system awful, returned me to first mission start after I quit as I have to be away.
Thankfully I did not pay for the game .

Is there a setting to prevent auto equipping?

I'm still enjoying the game.

If you finished the first mission it should have saved. I've experienced a few co-op glitches but nothing in SP as yet and nothing with saving...that part has been solid even in co-op and resuming co-op sessions with my son has worked without issue. The aiming is fine if you're used to twin stick shooters which is what this is for combat. Overall grfx are great on the Series S and X and have been really enjoying the game for what it is.

Of course, it's an Xbox console exclusive.

I'm having a helluva yime with this siege robot. Anyone face this thing yet?

Nevermind, I just killed it.

Played for a good few hours, wasn't really digging it at first but liking it more once it opened up and I got used to the controls.

Really needs a mini map there's so many layers to the levels and side paths etc.

Getting sick of going off the main quest path to find new areas only to have them not unlocked yet or enemies well above my level one shotting me, it seems most areas you will visit as part of a side quest so I will stop exploring and just do main and side quests.

Tried it out this morning. Game world is really cool, but I suck at the combat mechanics. Tough to aim when you have a lot of enemies around you. Will put some more time in this coming week.

Have a try at turning the aim assist up guys probably not many of us play these types of games and I've been having a pretty easy time aiming now.

I had that happen too until I just tapped the button instead of holding it when I picked it up. It doesn't seem like button presses always register so I thought I had to hold it.

Yeah I did that too, one thing that sucks is if an enemy runs right up to you the character just starts shooting off to the side because they can't point through the enemy lol so you can have someone up against you who can shoot you but you have to move in order to shoot them back. Also got stuck between enemies and a bench earlier and it wouldn't let me move and had a sound bug where a machine gun sound was constantly happening even in places where I wasn't fighting so I had to exit the game, hopefully it's not doing that when I turn it back on.
