2017 Best Graphics

It's time to get a big thread going with some input. Please don't just give a name of a game without a reason why.

Destiny 2 vs. Hellblade on PC. I'm not sure which one is better looking at this moment.

Destiny 2 best looking environments and use of color for sure. Hellblade has incredible lighting taking advantage of more accurate GI (Enlighten is better than the typical baked GI probes). Also it has the best looking fire I've ever seen in a game. Senua's character detail is also amazing.

Hellblade is visually striking, but my vote goes to Horizon ZD. Beautiful world.
 
It's Horizon by a mile. Or Last of Us 2 trailer if you want to count that.

Oh, you want a reason? I don't know. Cause Sony's devs are the best in the world at what they do.
 
I agree, Hellblade on PC is my favorite so far. The lighting is phenomenal.

Horizon looks like a cross between Farcry Primal and Metal Gear Rising Revengeance. Pretty comical looking, but technically impressive graphics.

Yeah, that sounds more comical, than how the graphics looks while playing... Nothing about the graphics makes it "comical looking" to me

I didn't mean it like that. I guess my original post wasn't as clear as I thought. Everyone says how amazing looking the game world is and the overall look. I thought it looked pretty silly at first, and then was able to appreciate the raw beauty of it after closer inspection.

Sure, I can see that... but hey, even Rambo took out a huge Metal Mil Mi-24 Hind in Rambo 2 with a Bow lol
 
This is a crazy year for this topic. Forza 7, Hellblade, Cuphead, The Lost Legacy, Horizon. Seems more subjective than ever.
 
Withholding judgement until I see Shadow of War in 4k. Right now, it's Horizon. Cuphead blows everything in terms of art direction.

I guess I'll go with Horizon although the lip syncing in the game wasn't good.

That's an animation thing and not graphical but it still bugged the hell out of me.

Also want to give a shout out to Injustice 2.
 
I would probably go with Horizon as well. It did the best job at giving me a world I want to live in.
 
I would probably go with Horizon for flatscreen games and RE7 for VR. On pro both look insane.
 
Horizon has nothing better on Destiny 2 (for PC) other than painted in shadows for the grass.

You guys are going to have to do better than that. While opinions are subjective, you have to at least give justification. Destiny 2's worlds, environments, and tech clearly beat out HZD. Hellblade is again an incredible looking game and destroys HZD with lighting and character detail.
