You wouldn't think it, but the idea that the Earth is flat isn't as crazy as it sounds. There is a lot of science to back it up. Part of the main validity, or lack of invalidity, is their notable claim that the large scope of information we acquire from internet and our government agencies is potentially one big lie and our reliance on secondhand information is unreliable went contrasted with first-hand information of which we have little of. Since 99.9% of people can very surely say "i've never actually been in outer space myself," how do we truly know outer space is what it is? And why do we trust everyone else to tell us what the world is? If that makes sense. It's pretty interesting.

I'll grant this can be an interesting discussion, but it falls under whimsical speculation or as a thought experiment. I sometimes wonder if this originated as a thought experiment and it just didn't stop.

We fly in airplanes. We can see the curvature. Also, if it was flat, there would be no way to flay around the world and come back where you started. Outer space viewing isn't needed.

Talking about flat Earth.

Fun fact: People knew the Earth was round far earlier than people believed. The people in medieval times believe the world was flat was one of the things repeated so many times (like The great Wall of China is the only man made structure visible in Space) that people thought it was true.
side note: Repeating the same lie is also one of the most effective way of indoctrination.

People in the past ain't dumb, it wasn't even hard, as people discovered very early that the world must be round as the bottom of the ship disappear first from a distance, & peak of mountains was visible before the valley, which suggest the Earth was curved. In fact fairly accurate measurement of Earth Diameter was done (By Greeks I think) before Christ was even born.

I forgot what they were, but they actually do have explanations for both of those. They really do make a good mockery of our so-called scientific process.

Hopefully they are better explained than the theory of no Gravity and we are essentially kept on earth because of the upwards momentum our flat Earth has.

Doesn't matter that the stars don't move in that way.

It also begs the question of how the sun can orbit us or us the sun. How does one orbit with an already sustained upward momentum?

They have gravity in their theory. They use all of the mundane scientific knowledge we have already known to construct this theory. It's just all of the NASA-produced science is refuted since none of us have the capacity to built space rockets and actually prove it wrong.

They use the scientific knowledge except for all the NASA stuff lol omg. Flat Earth is like a joke taken to far.

I guess they build a world view based on the idea that if they can't verify a Scientific claim personally for themselves, they dismiss it. A ton of things in science can't be verified personally, so I can't imagine how they think things work. Do they think Atoms are a hoax? Or Viruses?

It's all under the premise that the government has lied to us, which happens all the time and especially when it comes to science. And until very recently, the private sector was not allowed to conduct space exploration or build space shuttles. It was banned by the government and only the government was allowed to actually study outer space with their cool rockets. Meaning we had to solely to the word of our very honest government.

I guess I'll just say I tried watching a few videos, including a few people who think Space is made of Liquid. :meh: Or they're firmly convinced there is a solid dome 'firmament' over the Earth as well.

Or that the Moon does not exists and what we see is a Hologram because he's looking through a s***ty camera.

A lot of these people go way past questioning the story from NASA. I feel like they get into this so far it's like going down a bizarre rabbit hole of jumping to conclusions which people then spread around until they accept these ideas as their new truth.

Sometimes YouTube is really an echo chamber of dumb.

I guess I too will avoid the rational theories and search dumb YouTube for the dumbest of dumb videos if that's how it works.

Respectfully disagree.

There are racism on any sides. There are no evidence (but do bring them in if you can show) that show his supporters are more racists.

Personally I find it insulting that Anti trump groups generalizing Trump supporters as racist and dumb.

Have you seen widespread trump supporters carry racist banners, or go to other candidates rally & protest. Have you seen Trump supporters thorning other supporters. The Irony is Trump supporters are usually well behaved. Obviously there are dumb people as well.

Maybe, just maybe they just want America to be great again, Maybe they want someone that put American first, they think Trump will bring them jobs, & they wanted to be safe & put the safety of American first, & keep out illegals?

Do people even realized the wall has a gate, where Mexicans can come in legally?

The things that many people in Europe & else where hope our governments will do as well.
