Thoughts:

So...... I've dabbled in some A.I.s like Midjourney or Leonardo.AI just for fun personal use or sharing pics on Facebook. Sometimes it's 'Art' and sometimes it's really just next tier Memes.

Another use I'm considering for it is combining with my other hobby making content for VRChat. I have made one 3D VR Avatar and would like to update it using Midjourney to generate 'Art' for the Texture. It could look cool and save me a helluva a lot of time. So far, I've redone the Avatar with a cyborg look I really like and want to do kind of CyberPunk / Tron clothes.

This project for now is Non-Commercial Zero Profit so I don't feel like I'm stepping in the zone of competition with artists using Generative Art which pisses off a lot of people. So far, I think this is reasonable.

However, over time, I'm considering if I get good enough at this to put work out on YouTube or in the long run, maybe sell assets, or mess with a Patreon thing. I would still just making the 3D Models and using Midjourney for the Textures, not creating a Final Product only using A.I..

Just wondering what people think of Fair Use or maybe Minimal Use? Like if I just made cool techy Irises on the eyes of a Sci-Fi character? I'm using A.I. but for a super minimal detail?

Another thought I had is Midjourney should be seen only as a super Plugin for Google Image search. It exists because of Web Scraping and Training just as Google Images scrapes for pictures. It's reasonable to search images or even make a collage for fun, but it would seem weird to attempt selling such a thing. Maybe instead, study images that inspire you to make your own? Midjourney just has the additional ability to mix these images and styles, but maybe it's not appropriate to sell the results as Final Products?
