I started watching this show this summer and while seasons 1 and 2 were great, season 3 has a noticeable difference in the quality of comedy and plot (I just watched season 3 episode 2). Rickmancing the Stone was almost entirely atrocious.

I don't know, so far I think season 3 is a step up from season 2 which kind of felt like it forced too much drama into the show. This season has more of a balance between the two, and is funnier in my book.

Wait - season 3 episode 2 is about marital separation and the kids trying to cope with it. That's not forced drama in your opinion?

Pickle Rick is awesome. Every scene in the family therapy session is completely lame.

The exact details on what I'm about to spout are clouded....who ever the guy with his wife and dog (watching tv in the dark) is at the end of each credits is projecting what he's personally going through. If you noticed in he current season, it's just the guy and his dog laying over the couch looking rather depressed. So yep, be it Roiland or Harman, spelling may be wrong, they're going through some tough titty shiz that we best not think about it.

I think it’s safe to say without fear of being wrong that the gap between seasons 3 and 4 will be the longest and last time that it’s ever so long that it’s ridiculous. I don’t know how fast we can do it, but I know it will never be this long again. There were so many things that had to be settled before we even started season 4, and it’s really safe to say — as Justin says — we’re literally writing season 5 while finishing season 4 just to force ourselves to commit to a certain schedule. Not to get anyone’s hopes up, but it is structured into our deal that if we’re going strong and fast there are options to deliver more episodes at a time. Adult Swim can say, “These are on time and great. Do you want to do more instead of taking a break?” And we can then do more. I’d like to see that day. Just knowing it’s possible makes me eager for it. I feel like a naughty boy when I’m late.
