Airsofters - whatcha packin?

So I got into airsoft this summer. Great hobby. Im running with a KJ Works M4 gas blow back with six 30 round mags for my primary and a KJW 06 hi caps for my side arm. Also picked up two sights, a G&G Specter with selectable 1&4X magnification and a Ecotech style holoscope.

No airsoft BB's shoot straight and further than paintballs.

Hurt more too. In my opinion. Though I haven't played much of either.

Well paintballs leave large welts if you get hit hard. BB's have been known to actually pierce skin.

What's the average effective range of your airsoft rifle. I know there are people who actually use air rifles to hunt small game animals.

Oh. I thought they fired mini-paintballs but having looked it seems it's more like bb's.

So how does the scoring etc. work?

Does it requrie massive honesty?
