Even though Alan Wake is my top game, the American Nightmare was just so so IMO. I didn't bother getting the extra achievements, like taking out 2000 Taken, etc.

I enjoyed it, but the setting and open world setup made it feel completely different.

I just preordered and predownloaded the game today. Just have to wait for next week now...

Only thing I didn't about AN was having to do everything 3 times

Played about half way through the second chapter, loving playing the game again. The game feels great at 60fps. Between the upgraded fps and resolution, I'm making out so many more details, and the atmosphere seems even more impressive than ever. It's not perfect, and some may not find it a big enough upgrade, but I'm really happy with it so far for $30.

Couldn't resist! Game is still great! Love the rew res and newer models (even if it's still in the uncanny Valley, it's still better than it was). Turned on Dolby Vision for this too. The teeny bit of latency isn't an issue here. Love it. The atmosphere is so good 🥰

For those that have experienced Alan Wake only the Xbox 360, this is a must have. For those that played on PC, save your money.

It would be a different story if ray tracing or HDR was involved or the original was capped at 30fps like its Xbox 360 counterpart, but outside of its newly reworked character models, Alan Wake Remastered looks and feels much like the original PC release. While it makes sense to have a fresh, clean version of the game that everyone can enjoy in the run-up to whatever's next in the RCU, Alan Wake Remastered is a much more essential purchase for those playing on console than it is for us on PC.

So happy all the licensed songs appear to have returned.

Spoiler...
We can thank MS for that who sorted it all out when giving Remedy the rights back. But I need to go back to the 360 version and check cause I'm sure they have used a different version of In Dreams this time.

Really wish they had given Wake better stamina though.

For some reason I'm unable to get Auto HDR / Dolby Vision to work for this title.

So the 360 version has really bad tearing at times. This was completely wiped out when made BC but I've noticed some in this.

Just finished. Still fantastic. Wish they included the two dlcs tho. Still don't know what the FBI guy's deal was. Maybe he works with the Agency from control...

The Signal and The Writer are both supposed to be included, I thought I saw them in the main menu when I started the game.
