All Things 4K/Blu-ray Thread

I've only skipped around to cool scenes in the Dark Knight, but the opening bank robbery scene is amazing. I still have to watch all 3 on 4k. Sort of not pumped to watch the first one even though I haven't seen it in a long time.

There's about 30 total minutes that were shot in IMAX. (mostly action scenes) I'm looking forward to seeing them in 4K, since that's is probably the closest thing to seeing it in an actual IMAX theater (on a large enough display). I'm probably going to watch TDK, as one of my first movies, once I get my 4K projector later this year.

Dunkirk is the most impressive looking film I’ve watched on my 4K set. Highly recommend it.

All of the IMAX full framed shots in TDK and TDKR looks incredible. Batman Begins doesn't have the IMAX shots and thus doesn't look as great.

Highly overrated ie many saying its the best looking ever but still a must buy and that's a great price.

For some reason the original stood out to me more than the new one, probably because there was a lot more contrast with the dark rainy look and the bright colorful signs etc.

Just watched Pacific Rim Uprising, the movie is just ok but the video quality is really nice and the HDR adds a lot to the presentation.

I’m looking forward to the Black Friday and a Holiday deals this year. A bunch of movies I want to add to my collection and some I still haven’t seen.

This is a thread that needs more use!

Picked up The Little Mermaid, Aquaman, and the first two Avengers movies in 4K.

I concur... did you link your ms store/video to any other movie app/service like vudo or movies anywhere, dono if it’s still available but if you do you get X-men first class for free...I do find the videos tend to stream faster and crisper through the native Xbox video app, I buy all my 4k vids physically

I got Aquaman on 4K. Some scenes look amazing. Infinity War is also nice in 4K will be watching my copy this week before End Game.

The most impressive film I own in 4K is Dunkirk. I watched it again recently with my dad and now that I have surround sound it was an even better experience. Great film.

Yeah Aquaman looks amazing. Helped by the fact it's brilliantly shot.

I did, yes. The day it was announced. Don't know when I'm ever going to watch this mediocre XMEN movie, but it's in my library!
