Anyone check this out? I watched the first of two season premiere episodes last night. Thought it was pretty good, not the best but it has potential. I know there are a ton of cop shows but at least this one is a sci-fi cop show. I haven't checked out the second episode but probably will tomorrow. To me there isn't enough futurist stuff on TV anymore so I welcome it with open arms.

Really like the show can't wait for the next episode.

It'll need a bit of time to find its feet like any other new TV show does but it was a really promising start. Karl Urban and Michael Ealy make a good combo.

I was (am) a huge Fringe fan; seeing how this show is comprised mostly of people who worked on it, I'm going to have to give Almost Human a shot. And, yeah, I'm a Karl Urban fan and, unlike most, loved Dredd 3D.

I watched the first episode and thought it was fantastic. It's very well done.

Very promising. I almost hate to say this but it feels more promising than SHIELD did in its first two episodes. The problem I have is getting into ANY sci-fi that airs on FOX because they can and do drop shows like this out of the blue.

I suppose if it gets moved to friday night (like bones) then we'll know it's on its way out.

I love the show so far!

I think shield sucks though even though I still watch it. How the hell do you have a Marvel show and the main cast has zero super powers. Like really?

I didn't realize there was a second episode already but lo and behold it was on my DVR. The "skin" episode. I'm raising my view of this show from "really good" to AWESOME after that show. Even though it has sci-fi underpinnings it has a serious tone to it, more like a CSI type of show. The subject matter is not for kids. There were some heart strings pulled in this last episode with the concept of how do you handle death, both of androids and humans, how do you talk to people about it, how do you approach the family members about it, etc. Just really well done so far, I'm quite impressed. Chemistry between the two leads is very good, seems like they've been doing this a while and it's only the second show. Not sure yet about Minka Kelly but let's see how it unfolds.

I think the show is pretty good so far. Hopefully it gets better and they keep this show for awhile.

Tonight the episode pretty much sucked. Who hasn't done a hostage situation, just because it's in the "future" doesn't make it new. So much more they could do with the android with a thinking mans brain, than "I know the coffee you like because I pay deh attentionz!".

Apparently Fox is airing the show out of order. It'll eventually be in order in a few episodes time, but episode 2 was episode 7 and tonights was episode 5 if I remember correctly. Explains how they were suddenly on good terms last week, and still not quite there this week.

Anyway, not an amazing episode but I'm not a fan of hostage episodes either. It's not just the hostage story line, it's the fact the entire episode is set in one place that kinda bores me.

That's weird. Where did you find that out? I noticed a continuation from the last episode into this one, the Olive Oil. So that would toss the whole ep2 is ep7 and ep3 is ep5 thing out of whack.

Is there a point to showing them out of order? Putting what Fox idiots think are the best episodes first to hold more viewers in the beginning?

Probably to air what the network thinks is the best episodes early to grab viewers interest if I had to guess. Hopefully it doesn't mess up any story arcs. The showrunner seems to be content about it so I'm not too worried about it.

Great, another possibly great Sci-Fi f*cked over by Fox.

They did this to Firefly and we all saw how that turned out.

Was just going to say this about Firefly. They didn't like the pilot "Serenity" for Firefly and made them write a new pilot then they showed them all out of order and ended up showing the episode "Serenity" last which was fantastic and would have been perfect to have been shown first as it set up everything. So, yeah, can't say I'm surprised Fox is screwing up another show.

I'm enjoying it so far. I can hear Urban's accent cracking at times.
One thing I don't really like though, about this, or a lot of sci-fi films is the way guns are depicted. It's like no thought has gone into the design. Instead of looking at current pistols and thinking they look cooler chunkier and bulkier, consider what the future of sidearm development might be. Think Glock or Desert Eagle, fewer exposed mechanisms, smoother, easier to holster. Magazine capacity, balance, weight, recoil, noise, ergonomics.

That said, Dorian's gun is not too bad. Kennex's gun looks bulky and front heavy offering no benefits over current tech.

I really like this show. It has good effects and good acting. The last episode was a bit boring I was thinking god damn it go up the f***ing stairs faster ya bastards.

Freeing up Urban for an ongoing Dredd series on HBO! (I wish. :())
