AMD is looking to take over the mid-range for gaming and giving customers a cheaper way into VR. I think this card will be right up my alley. I won't be building my new PC until Zen is out so this will be a cheap upgrade from my 670FTW and cover me for a while, possibly until Vega is out.

Purported performance is between GTX980 and R9 Fury, and with AMD's TDP calculation being way more conservative than Nvidia's, it presumably uses less power compared to GTX 1070 unlike what the spec sheet have you believe. Overall, I'm thinking of buying this.

This is pretty much what I was hoping for. Just a month ago I was thinking of grabbing the 390 in the mean time but glad I held off. While my CPU might bottleneck it a bit at this point, an upgrade from a 670 (2012) to this would be great.

Yea I'm dying to hear from 3rd party to see what they have in store. I've got a nice 4th of July weekend coming up that is going to be loaded with gaming. I'd love to do that on a new card.
