Another PlayStation 3 revision on the horizon?

Ps3 I'm guessing; don't see how you could make a thinner Vita. In the Home Islands, game consoles have extraordinary longevity. Until recently some Japanese game makers were still making games for the PS1. Until now, the PS3 sales in Japan have been nothing like what you would probably expect. A cheaper sku would be consistent with past launches of next gen consoles, albeit the PS3 has had an extraordinary number of them for it's generation. Japanese gamemakers don't treat a past-gen console like a red-headed stepchild. They will continue to support the PS2 and PS3 for a very long time.
 
It might make sense for them to put out one last PS3 model with a price cut to squeeze more sales out of the console before switching full focus on this generation.
 
I say its the new vita or that little box version of it you can hook to the TV.
 
I was thinking Vita or that little TV thing too but who knows? I wouldn't be shocked to see another PS3 revision if they found a way to cut more costs.

I'm pretty sure it's Vita TV. It doesn't get much slimmer than that. I don't think they'd introduce another slim version PS3, not now anyway. It might draw attention from PS4.

Anyone know when the announcement will be?

Think I read that its the 30th of this month.
 
probably not ps3 because its doubtful they could make it slimmer than the slim ps2

Man while most knew it would be that is still a let down. From what people said the first version is better cause of the better screen. No idea why Sony needed a so called event to bring the thing out.
