I'm definitely going to try and give it a solid, open minded try. I'm going to jump on PC too to see if things are different. I think there's potential here if they can fix a lot of the issues. Of course this weekend is going to be open to all platforms and anyone so that could just get ugly.
I'm hoping that my issues were more lag and that a smoother game will be a lot more fun.
I tried PC this time. FPS is still janky. I turned it down one step from ultra and it plays a little better. For PC on a 1080 I would expect more, but this is at least steady.
I went in wanting to like the game. I want to like the game, but I just don't. The combat turns into peeking around corners waiting for your abilities to recharge. Nothing about the game pulls me in. A game like this should pull me in and make me want more.
I get that this is more RPG and story, but the action is something we're going to be grinding over and over. Even on PC the controls are clunky. It is actually worse on mouse and keyboard somehow.
No I realize that. I was expecting this to be my new favorite game and instead I'm just incredibly disappointed in it. Probley the reason why I'm being so harsh.
But I honestly don't think it's very good from the five or six hours I've played including today. I found no satisfaction in killing enemies or the gameplay. I think it's really boring to be honest.
Spent a couple hours doing freeplay and a couple missions. Really enjoyed it. Game looks great but yea performance is weird. It places really well for the most part, then just randomly goes to 30fps lock for a bit, then back up.
