Anthem

Well, considering I've (my xbox home friend) already bought the game, I guess I'll have to play it day one regardless of the reviews...
I would like some good storytelling quests.

I am guessing you never played Mass Effect.

Andromeda? I really liked that game and need to find a way back to it at some point because the combat was awesome. Now that I think about it Ice was also super strong in that game, lol.

So what’s the overall impression from those who played both Demos.? I’m considering picking it up.

Honestly, the game never pulled me in. Honestly it felt boring even in the first few things. Maybe the progression makes it way better. For a grind game, I want the gameplay to be addictive and perfect. This wasn't terrible but it isn't the kind of thing I want to sink tons of hours into.

To be fair, I think I'm just not a 3rd person fan. Also, I'm really more action/loot oriented instead of story/rpg elements, so of course other people will like it.

Also there are major performance issues even on the newer consoles. X1X did not run well and even PC was tough. FPS dips below 30 were a regular thing on X1X which is another big drawback for me.

I'm most likely a no buy right now, but maybe later on. I don't mean to bash it as I think it has promise. I just have a big backlog and basically if I don't "love" a game at the start I can hold off for now.

I am likely to pay for vault space :-/

Vault isn't plentiful in D1 and don't waste time telling me it is.
I had no problems with it in Div1 after the increase. I don't horde stuff. I don't keep things not relevant to me.

Obviously if you are one of those people who collect everything then yeah, it wasn't enough. Same thing with Destiny 2, collectors were crying for space but I never ran out of room.

I horde good toys and armor sets.

I have unlimited cloud storage with XBL, so why can't we use that storage since it is already included with what we pay?

It’s not a physical limitation with the game. It seems to be a revenue source they are planning. I’ll have to see how this one plays out.

Oh I know! I would love that storage to be free, and if it can't be free, let me choose the storage space :)

They are not the first dev to imply or flatout state that increasing storage increases cost. Bungie said it, EA said, Ubisoft said it, Guild Wars dev said it.

Bioware is talking about how they are not happy with the super awesome explosive sniper rifle because it was putting out too much damage in the demo, boooo. Say no to NERFS!!!!!!

They were also asked about a Horde Mode and the answer was "we're looking into it". Awww man, this game seems perfect for Horde Mode.

This sounds like it's going to be doa...

It does have the scent of flop surrounding it. And yet I still want to get it because I had a lot of fun with the two demos in spite of all the technical issues. I’m just worried I’ll have to solo most of the content because the player count dropped off soon after release or never showed up in the first place. I’m very impulsive with little to no self control so I’ll probably end up getting this. :meh:

I think it will have people playing at launch for sure. It is a Bioware game and it certainly is going to have a base at the start. Now, 3 months from launch - that will be up in the air. Will people keep grinding this game, or move on to something else?

It looks like they are going Diablo's model of doing the same content with higher difficulties. That can be fun, but for how long?

Home xbox friend already bought it, so I'll play it at release, prob coop the campaign at least.
Honestly more worried over that than the end game thing, prob moved on at that point anyway.
