Okay, I'm guessing I'll hold on a couple more levels before uninstalling it. Colossus it will be.

Yeah, I'm soloing world events and I'm like 11 and nothing special with the build. You get into trouble and you can just bring up a shield and jet to more health and/or safety.
The Ranger is probably one of the easier starting javalins. They are tanker than the storm or the interceptor, but can do some decent damage. I hear they are a little weak late game though.
So I just found out that legendaries are the same as masterworks, just with a little better stats .
That's some lazy s***.
The only two games I have ever played that have done loot correctly are Diablo 2 and Path of Exile.
They are supposedly going to give an update on the endgame loot. I've heard some players getting some amazing rolls like 200% damage boosts and stuff, so I think it exists. The drop rates seem so bad now though so it is hard to tell (according to people in the endgame, there's no higher drop % for higher difficulties).
They will probably raise the drop rates, then everyone will have everything ala Diablo 3.
When it comes to the loot system/ progression there are so many oversights on their part it's kind if mind boggling.Loot is the least interesting thing ever, visually everything looks the same...
I am still enjoying the game but once i finish the missions there is NO WAY i am gonna re-do missions to get better loot, its just numbers
the fact armor pieces/stickers arent part of loot drops is PATHETIC
I'm the complete opposite lol. I'm absolutely fine knowing I'll never get every item in the game. Then if by chance I get that drop, ah the satisfaction.I'd rather just run into a wall as opposed to the Destiny 2 "nothing drops ever" method. We all want more reasons to play these games for longer, but just reducing drop rates to comically low levels is not fun for anyone. The "slow drip" is an awful way to stretch out content.
The problem is that eventually you get to the point where it simply isn't worth putting hours into a game. This happens in Destiny 2 all the time. I'll have like 4-5 hours on the weekend but I don't play. Why? Because the chance of me getting a good drop is almost zero. That's not fun. Sure, it extends the life of the game for the Youtube streamers and unemployed, but for the rest of us it just gets frustrating and not fun.

I'm enjoying the game so far and it should not be getting so much hate and low scores. I'm not saying it doesn't deserve some criticism but I'm sure they will continue working on things and it will continue to improve....I do wish there were waypoints in free roam and more people around to team up with, the loot needs some improvement, couple other things but still having fun.....I am only a level 12 and I do hope the loot and grind is better once I hit level 30.
Quick question, I am using Storm and might want to try another. If I switch do I not have my guns and does the rank go to 1? Not sure I have the time to grind two at the same time so might have to get one to level 30 before I even think about that, it will take me long enough to get one to max level.
This is our plan for changes to go live on February 28th or March 1st (central US time)
- Inscriptions are now better for the items they are on
- This applies to new items earned in Anthem (not existing ones in your Vault)
- If an inscription applies only to the item it is on (gear icon), it will be useful to that item. Otherwise the inscription will provide a Javelin wide benefit
- For example, an Assault Rifle will not have an item specific +pistol damage inscription. It may have a +electric damage suit wide inscription (cool for a lightning build)
- Some more information below
- Removed uncommon (white) and common (green) items from level 30 drop tables
- This was a highly requested change and we agree, so that’s that.
- We have reduced the crafting materials needed to craft a masterwork from 25 masterwork embers to 15 masterwork embers
- As you salvage or harvest, you should be able to craft more masterwork items to get the inscriptions you are looking for
- Now that inscriptions are more relevant to their item, this should yield better results for players
Additional inscription change details
Its hard to write a short version of this, but I’m going to try. If we need to add more information later we can do that…
- Current: There are a large pool of inscription options available to roll on items, the inscription pools are generic (e.g. Weapons)
- Every masterwork item has 4 inscriptions – Major Primary, Minor Primary, Major Secondary, Minor Secondary
- Change: Each item type now has a specific set of inscription options for each of their inscription pools. The pools are smaller and are targeted to the specific item type
- E.g. there used to be a Weapon pool, now there is an Assault Rifle pool and the assault rifle pool has 4 pools for each of the inscription types listed above
- Primary inscriptions are focused on damage or survivability
- Any item specific inscriptions (gear icon) will always benefit the item they are on
- Javelin wide inscriptions (suit icon) will benefit damage or survivability across the whole Javelin
- Secondary inscriptions focus on utility and can be targeted to the item (gear icon) or the entire javelin (suit icon)
Great to hear, thanks! All guns except Heavy Weapons are shared between classes. Only Colossus can use heavies. For gear, universal is for all Javelins. Otherwise it will name the class. Your actual Javelin never levels. All levels are on gear. You can unlock a new Javelin and immediately put high gear on it. It’s one of the better features in the game.
I have a Ryzen 7 and a 1070 and it runs great. But the bugs are just ridiculous. The audio one is the worst. Game is so unfinished it's not even funny.
Someone on Reddit suggested using the Windows volume mixer to lower the audio of Anthem separate from overall system volume. I lowered mine by 5 and played for a little over an hour without any audio issues. Who knows if that is an actual fix but might be worth a try.I have a Ryzen 7 and a 1070 and it runs great. Most recent update (Thursday?) has made this game worse for me. Up until then, including the pre-release period, the game ran pretty well for me, barely any if any at all, bugs, etc. But this most recent update I have started having audio completely cut out, only fixed by restarting the game. Every time I've done that though, the audio cuts out while on the next mission/freeplay session. I've also noticed enemies just straight up disappearing but I'm still getting shot by them. The game technically runs fine for me, but a friend of mine that has a worse CPU, but much better GPU (1070 vs RX480) sees it running around 30fps, while it runs around 60 for me.
I have not had the sound bug but definitely have seen major issues with enemies either vanishing or even worse just being invincible. There was a low level scar that I could not shoot but could shoot me. I had to run away as I couldn't do anything.
Also was doing a public event and spent some time wearing down an ash titan (I'm still lower level so it took awhile). Got it down to a sliver of health and...loading screen. Thanks for playing, your server died.
This weekend was the first time including beta I really ran into these issues in a big way.
I also had to turn the graphics down to medium I think to get 60 fps on a 1080.
On the flip side, I had fun running strongholds and leveling up. This game is hard to love sometimes though. After playing the Div 2 beta I must say Anthem has a long way to go to be a good game. I'm not negative about Anthem, I'm a big fan but just being realistic. Game is in a rough state right now.
Yeah I've come across the invincible low leve red bar scar the odd time as well. It looks they wander into a hitbox that the game thinks is environmental and so they become invincible. Usually backing off and getting them to move eventually fixes it. What a terrible bug though.
