Any linux users?

FYI if you use Android you're on LInux.

But otherwise, yeah I use GNU / Linux on my computers. I have a general use Lenovo laptop I bought this year and wiped Windows off it to install Linux Mint. There are faster types of Linux, but Mint has good hardware / driver support I think.

I also have a Dual Boot on my gaming laptop with both Windows 10 and Netrunner Linux.

And on Macs, which I do :p

I am also running Linux Mint. This is by far my favorite flavor.
which version of the desktop did you picked up?

I have also tried Slackware. It is kind of considered the original Linux distro. It has weird package management options and I'm not sure how current they can keep it.

I kind of like Sabayon. It's based on Gentoo, but with an actual installer, not spending days in the console to build it.

Arch Linux or Manjaro are worth a look. They tend to be lean and run fast.

As for my Linux Mint install I went with Xfce.

I remember my dad got a linux laptop once. I got to play around with it. I remember having pre-loaded games like knock-off zuma and other knock-offs.

When I was in college, ages ago now, I used to run SUSE Linux. After school, I fell back in with Windows.

I have used Ubuntu for like an hour, which is cool. But that is about it. I only use Macs, other than at work, where Windows is required by Hilton Corporation.

Not personally but once in a while for work. Usually Ubuntu and that has mostly been for wiki servers or just messing around in a VM.

I was on Windows last week until that big update that killed everything I had setup.

Went right back to Mint and no issues and running like a champ!

I had an old laptop that Windows didn't run well on so I threw Ubuntu on it. I was amazed how easy it was to install and configure for just the basics.

My gaming PC runs Windows because I need it, but for anything that just needs the basics, Linux is a real option. You don't have to be an IT pro to install and use it anymore. I think the Windows installer actually asks you more questions than Ubuntu now.
