I just moved into my semi-truck to socially isolate.

When I was longhaul trucking, I just crashed at my parents' place for a break before driving again for 11 days. My current job is home daily but the schedule has been to crazy to setup an apartment, so I'm doing this temporarily.

I've seen some places that have online applications so I'll start that after my last run for the week.

Going to Hammond, LA early in the morning. Not happy about going to Louisiana

For what it's worth, my company recently upgraded my truck which will be a huge help. It has much more space, better cabinets, and a double bunk so I can use the extra bed as storage space.

Feels like I'm going full Mad Max. Shiny and Chrome.

Damn straight. I went out to get some food 2 days ago and my local park was packed. People are just not listening.
I get emails from the city and it states I can go outside to parks for exercise or fresh air but to keep a minimum distance of six feet/1.8-meters.

I technically have been doing squats whilst pulling weeds in my yard, I be burning 😆

I went for a run two days ago. I figured I'd run around the track at a park. The track was so packed I had to run in the bike lane. I did one lap and went the f*** home. Mons with strollers bumping arms. Kids playing in the playground. Yes, get outside, be active to keep your sanity, but use common sense. Don't use playgrounds. Don't walk close enough with someone so that your elbows bump.

We can go outside, but it specifically states only to do so if absolutely neccessary. Spending the day in the park isn't that.

Takes more than a few days to lose your sanity, though. It isn't like you're in a prison isolation cell.

Been going on here for a few weeks. I'm actually loving it thus far. Lost the gym, lost the movie theater, but I have some gym equipment in the cellar and my workouts have been awesome. I'm cooking much more. I'm learning more. Ozark season 3 starts tonight. I'm making the best of it.

Might be right. I have minor cold symptoms, but I dunno.

Interestingly, I have not heard much of truck drivers sick with this. I'm wondering if population density is a major factor, the extreme case being New York City. While truck drivers only have fleeting human contact as long as we don't sit in truck stop diners.

So, it's possible we are asymptomatic transmitters after a while. I might research into getting tested.

Our county and the surrounding counties just got a stay at home order starting tonight at midnight. Far as I know our mill will stay operating but we’ll see what home office says.

The next state over has issued a full shut down. My state is lock and key with the president, so I expect to be back to work before easter. 🙁

My job plans on getting us back to work next Wednesday for one week of "limited work force" and then by the 8th, back to regular schedule. Gonna be interesting to see what happens since we're a call center.
