Aquaman

I’m hearing good things, epic yet doesn’t take itself too seriously, some saying it’s just below Wonder Woman.

I've seen a few say it's the best DCEU movie yet, I hope so because I think WW was a bit overrated and boring.

Wonder if those who say it be boring would they compare it to captain America the first avenger? That’s how I felt about Wonder Woman if I were to compare it to a Marvel, phase one, flick.

Yeah, based on visuals alone this is going to be a much more fun movie. Wonder Woman as a character and Gal Gadot as an actress just aren't all that fun to begin with IMO, they are playing a little loose with Aquaman here and letting Momoa sort of play to his strengths a bit instead of trying to get him to fit into what the classic Aquaman character is. This movie just looks so much more visually interesting than Wonder Woman was plus the CGI in these trailers looks better as well, it's not perfect but it looks much closer to real than anything in Wonder Woman IMO.

Aquaman is a badass

I always liked his powers I just hated his generic look. They've made him cooler over the years, the justice league cartoon was a good step even though I wasn't a fan of the spear hand. His character was a bit better in the Throne of Atlantis movie, Mera was pretty cool in that as well. I also liked Aqualad in the young justice animated series, sadly it doesn't look like he's in the new season that's coming or if he is he hasn't been in any of the promotional material.

I hope its a nice movie, & I think they picked the right actor for the role. The costume is decent.

25m day 1 opening in China which is WB highest in the region and best December opening for a Hollywood film

Why Dafoe returned to Comicbook movies.

"James, I loved. He was very enthusiastic. He was a huge draw for me coming to this project. His movies are very precise. You can really see a very sure director's hand, so it was very curious to think that- certainly he worked on a big scale, but nothing this big, plus a fantasy film. So, he was great. He's incredible, he's got an incredible energy, he's got an incredible film culture; he's like a little kid, as far as his enthusiasm, and he's rigorous enough that he can delegate well and get the overview. But he's always there. With a film this big, when you have so much effects to set up and you have to do so much planning - you really need a general."

Already over $100 Million in China, doesn't even come out in North America until the 21st.

Empire gave it 3/5...

Imagine if someone cut together all the biggest action sequences from the last few decades of Hollywood, resulting in a mash of Tron, Avatar, Clash Of The Titans, Superman, Jurassic Park, and Gladiator. Imagine a film where an octopus gets a drum solo, and it isn’t among the top ten weirdest moments. Welcome to Aquaman, where you won’t have a clue what’s going on, but you won’t be able to look away either.

That alone sounds like a 5/5 to me
