Ars Technica compares Xbox One and PS4 Specs

Consider how Microsoft is marketing the Xbox One. Its marketed as a console for everyone not just gamers. The Kinect and utilization of it is going to be a game changer next generation because it works the way its supposed to and it shows in real time, the features AND benefits of having that in place. Skype is also another feature many can associate with. Marketing is all about finding the pulse of the consumer--what people like and what's trending. The Xbox One has nearly every popular feature and app built in from the gate. You bring all of these popular features together in one box, plus make them user friendly and you've got a recipe for success. Thats a pulse that not only includes gamers, but non gamers to boot. NFL is also going to make a big splash next generation too. There are so many sports fans out there into the fantasy leagues its unreal. The Xbox One is set to hit so many levels of potential profit avenues its not even funny mate.

Sony will cater to the pure gamers and do quite well at doing just that. But unless they broaden their horizons they'll fall behind (its already begun in many ways but can be remedied in time) s*** is about to get real here, very soon.

Then it needs to come out at a everyone price.

Well news flash COD on PS4 has both bases covered...its 1080p and runs on dedicated servers...

3rd party games have been king and the PS4 thus far is offering the best versions so the software base is covered as well.

360 had better multiplatforms last gen, you never gave them credit, you actually went out your way to downplay it. Now suddenly its all about 3rd party games? oh my how things have changed cutting, but yet very much still the same. I'm predicting another generation of sony cheerleading from you, all the while playing the middle. :) Good times.

It is. 500$ is well worth the price of admission. It'll pay for itself in the first couple of months if not sooner. Also, think on this; Sony has a temporary win from the gate by not including their camera with the Ps4. Note, I said temporary. But I'd bet the farm that this ends up being a grave mistake on their part simply because the Kinect is much improved and included with the XO. We've already seen this.

Because its included every XO owner has the option to switch and snap apps and content at their leisure and instantly unlike any generation previously. Not to mention what it does with games. That in and of itself is a game changer.

Sony will have to market the hell out of the PSeye in order to get Sony gamers to purchase one, not to mention it will need to able to hold a candle to the Kinect v2. Which we know it can't do. That's going to be an uphill battle mate. What Sony is hoping for is that developers won't utilize the Kinect in any real significant way. But again, it comes with the system, its much more powerful, more accurate; so now its suddenly lucrative and guaranteed.

I never said most 3rd party games weren't better on the 360? lol what
I said that certain PS3 games were unmatched vs the 360.
What changed is this time Sony will have the best looking 1st party and 3rd party games...due to better hardware AND much better dev tools then they had with the PS3.
Most of last gen I was a 360 fanboy....the latter years the PS3 wooed me.
Sorry my cheer-leading IS in the middle...its just XB doesn't get much cheers anymore from me.(this could change)

With posts like this, brain talk should never be posted by you.

Ah. The quick snip.

Let me put it more clearly for you. In your argument you're basically ignoring everything from every other manufacturer. All while giving the nod to Sony about owning up the competition. 8 years. That's how long Sony played in the backseat in total numbers. Now you're right, certain regions the 360 wasn't even worth mentioning. On the same hand, there were quite a few that did a 180 as they were supporting MS far more than Sony. NA and UK wasn't even a race, it was domination for a very long time. So sure, Sony did the damn thing. No where near what the PS2 did (even going off of your numbers), but entirely respectable. But let's not act like it was close for the first 5-6 years.

MLG? you are the kid
Yes. MLG. The people that actually play a fps seriously and play the game for what it is. Not counting pixels . What's your gamer tag dude so I can plug it into my cod\battlefueld app to see how much fps experience you have which I'm sure is going to be 0. But you want to post how much better the ps4 controller is then the xbox for fps games.
Lol
