Geez I was going to get this on PC (already have it for 360) but I might get it for X1 instead!
Is it truly 1080p though? It's only the video title saying it, maybe filmed with a 1080p camera? Dont get me wrong, it would be very very good if this is native 1080p, cause having all third party games at 720p would not be good news.
Exactly. I'd be surprised if it is, cause they have kept it quite hidden from us. Same with NFS. As a Xbox dude i would having to read constantly that yet another game is at a lower resolution. Last week i bought a projector and i am on a 100 to 120 inch screen now, hell yeah am i going to notice differences now. I'd be a sad panda if my console of choice's biggest problem keeps being resolution and in the process looking less than the PS4....something 360 was so good in actually. Having the better looking and performing games.
Why of course? UFC IS, FiFa and NBA2k14 are.....sooooo......
AC4 is basically a current gen game, it's a bit ridiculous for it not to be 1080p, but that goes for CoD too.

I think it's great they haven't officialy said what hte resolution is. Now people can look directly at the PS4 footage and Xbox one footage and see if there is a notable difference. That is the judge of the quality not going in a priori knowing one should be "inferior" to another.
Well that's a breathe of fresh air! Never played any of the AC games so can't comment on the gameplay, but the videos look pretty good.
It would be good to see the exact same scenes. But meh AC4....waste of time for me.
I meant to dl AC2 when it was free w/the games with gold a while back. I'll have to check them out.
What was so bad about 3? I played 1 shortly and none of the others but rented 3 and it seemed ok from what little I played of it.

Obviously its just a YT vid, but I thought this was funny, not worried about the X1 version if 360 can do this, I mean even in the BF4 comparison you could tell a lot and that's just in a vid, here it actually does look really similar with more AA on ps4
I have posted that in another thread and I can not believe how good the 360 holds up, it seriously makes the next gen version look tame considering the newer hardware. Big whoop at some better lighting and swaying grass

Download that eurogamer ps4 footage that is 60fps, it is a world beyond current gen, the effects, textures. Maybe AC4 is the same, and that YT just isn't showing it, but I doubt it, AC looks to have been built with current gen in mind, BF4 doesn't, and that eurogamer vid showed just how far the frostbite engine can stretch its legs when give decent hardware.
I thought the main character and setting had potential to be the best, but ended up being generic as hell to mei thought AC3 was best of the bunch imho

If this game is 1080p, it kind of tells you how bad IW devs are. Like that matters. CoD Ghosts is a horrible game. Worst spawns in the history of FPS and every one camps. Here is Ghosts in a nutshell. You get a kill, then get shot by some one that just appears out of no where. You spawn and are immediately shot in the back by some one who just spawned 3 feet behind you.

The slow story was really my only complaint about AC 3. Besides that I felt like it was leaps and bounds above the others.
I was thinking about getting this for the 360, but this looks so good on the X1. All the effects alone make for a much cooler looking world. Gonna be hard to choose which game I should play when I get an X1. This is definitely up there as a must have.
This doesn't surprise me one bit though. During Gamescom when i was at the business center for our site, a friend/collegeau of mine was at Ubi, and he told me that a Ubi guy told him that there are very slight differences but absolutely no need to buy a next-gen console for. I s*** you not. This video shows it....AC4 is 100% a current gen game, just like Watch Dogs is too.
Really? I actually really liked the slow beginning, i like when games have that. In AC3 with the ship and getting to know the characters, it actually became boring again when i finally got my costume, the same freaking mission structure and all that, that i had grown to dislike a lot!
The guy in the last video says there are much better details and effects in the next-gen version. Are there? Cause i dont see it in the video. He says this is an example of how next-gen is not necessarily about higher resolution and better looking games, but more about detail. Well i'm sorry...but next year we ARE going to be seeing games that will demolish AC4 and it's current gen graphics. Hell...Ryse already does.
