Assassins Creed Vikings?

After the amazingness of Odyssey I am excited again by AC games. I still would be more excited for AC Japan but I’ll be looking forward to whatever is next

Interesting. I hope that it’s true. A Viking theme would suit me right down to the ground.

After the last two, I'm definitely willing to give this a try.

I wouldn't mind a reboot of the original actually. The original had a cool story but that game/engine was still very limited. I'm not talking a remaster but basically a similar setting during the Crusades sometime.

I suggested reskinning Odyssey and making it a Viking game, you could easily do it so I'm glad to hear they were already (if this is true) going the Viking route anyway.

Odyssey is the only AC I've not played (I have it, picked it up when gamestop was selling it for $20, just saving it for a dry period), but I kinda didn't care for Origins and Odyssey looks like more of the same. For me, AC seems to have gone in the opposite direction of what I personally would've preferred out of the series. Personally, I really didn't care for the way combat played in Origins, and Odyssey seems to have doubled down on it. I thought the boat sequences in ACIII were good palette cleansers for that game, but never felt a desire for a whole game built around it like Black Flag, and to me they just felt shoehorned into Origins. I like the idea of a game in a Viking setting, but for my tastes, I don't feel AC offers the gameplay I imagine when I think of a Viking set game. Maybe it'll be cool, I'll certainly keep it on my radar, but I fear I'm my days as an AC fan are over...:really:
