That’s pretty badass...I was gonna complain about it being symmetrical and bam, you can flip that biz. I’ll wait to see the reviews first though, especially with the new ps5 coming, i wouldnt buy it if it isn’t forward compatible

It looks better than the standard controller for sure, but then again, it's not hard to be better looking than the standard PS4 controller.

Looks good, would get if they had an xbox version (and ditch the poorly made elite controller).

I think ti would be easier to hold for me. I used to love the xbox controller, but I have turrets and have developed some weird ticks when playing video games. I hold the controller in a weird manner now, without my palms touching it for the most part. Not sure why.

Also could never get used to two paddles one each side, one is good number for me.

Looks cool, but I'm always skeptical of 3rd party controllers. They never feel quite right...

Does it have a way to hit the face buttons on the bottom like the elite? (seems like it has 2 mappable maybe?)

Being able to keep both thumbs on the sticks and still be able to use the buttons is a big part of a premium controller.

Being that it's for a Sony console I'm surprised it has red accents and not blue.

One thing that worries me about buying a $200 controller is what guarantee do we have that it'll work with the PS5? If this came out two years ago I' probably would have bought it but we are only a year and a half or so away from a new gen and I don't want to spend $200 on a controller unless I know it'll work with the new console.

Definitely not a slick and easy to mod as the Elite. Are there paddles or not? I honestly don't see the point without them as the DS4 is pretty great as is. Every next gen controller should have paddles...

Just picked it up!!! At Panera getting dinner and then the unboxing :) will send pics and feedback!

How you like it?

Well, at least Deacon in Days Gone now can walk forward! :)

I have only had a couple hours with it but:

Pros:
  • Great weight, a tiny bit on the heavier side like the Elite, which I love
  • Feels like very good quality
  • Programmable buttons on the underside of the grips
  • Seems much more responsive than my DS4
  • Customization in the app on your computer lets you adjust sensitivity of triggers and sticks
  • Wireless and wired option (there is toggle on the controller to switch between wired and wireless)
  • Ability to change to asymmetric sticks, and when you switch them the app detects that you switched them
  • No light bar
  • Trackpad works and feels better than the DS4 trackpad, at least so far in Days Gone which uses the trackpad a lot
  • Setup with computer was a breeze and it connected to the PS4 just by pressing the guide button
  • Built in speaker sounds good, though I always feel like they need more bass
Cons:
  • The bottom of the triggers are sharp if you happen to bring your figures up from the grip, which I never do. I just noticed it when I was feeling everything
  • The triggers and bumper buttons don't have the same quality feel as the Elite controller, and feel like they were an after thought in quality, but the rest of the controller and their parts feel great.
  • Dongle required for the wireless. But I put it in the back of my PS Pro so I don't even see it
  • Came with a long USB cable, but I would have wanted them to include a charging dock for that price
I don't know if it was supposed to come with additional dpads? Like the concave dpad they show in the video that is similar to the one on the Elite? I did move my dpad and sticks, but I didn't spend much time looking at the parts when doing so. Maybe the dpad comes apart and it has the flat one in it? Not sure.

Edit: Just found out the dpad disc cap is sold separately:

Q: How do I change the D-Pad cap?
A: To remove the D-Pad Plus Cap:
[1] Simultaneously press down on the bottom arm of D-Pad Plus Cap and pull firmly up on the lip of the top arm. When replacing the D-Pad Plus Cap (sold separately), ensure the red arrow on the cap is in the top position.
[2] To replace the D-Pad Disc Cap, align the notches on the underside of the D-Pad Disc Cap with the cutouts on the module. Press firmly into place.

Not yet available to buy separately yet though:

So I caved in due to my new found hatred of the PS4 controller(yes I used to think it was the best)
Waiting on my shipment to arrive.
Had one of the sticks not stopped working, I would still be using my DS4. But glad I bought this. Hard to go back to a DS4 now.

Hope you love it!

Part of the problems with the DS4 is the sticks.
Almost everyone I know has had issues where the push down button(run)L3 stopped working right. I been through countless DS4's due to this.
It took this console generation of DS4 experience and more time with my launch Xbox Scorpio Edition controller on both Xbox and PC for me to not only see how much better made XB controllers are but also how much more comfortable they are.

Hoping this overpriced controller eases my pain :)
