At least one Japanese-made Xbox One exclusive you don't know about

No i dont think the console itself can be said 'region free' because the psu is not universal. The psu label i saw says 120v on it , which would be the north american psu. Good though if they have confirmed games on the x1 wont have the ntsc/pal restriction and will be region free. The games on 360 were not region free, unlike the ps3, and that was an inconvenience for me as i tend to import games.

The best way of describing it is "region free, where possible." For example, TV services that are only available in the USA won't be available in France, and a power supply that only works in Turkish outlets won't work in Australian power outlets, but as far as games at least everything's open.

You know, change PSU is pretty easy for Xbox One
Oh and seems XboxDev implied other than NA version's PSU will be 100-240V which means it will work for everywhere

We'll see if they bundle in a universal psu with the console outside NA, i am going off the psu label i saw which didnt seem to suggest so. . 100-240v is pretty convenient if you travel a lot and something i wished the 360 had.

umm..a psu used in turkey should work in australia..aside from probably some power connector (shape) difference. 220-240 v 50 hz is standard in both territories.
