Avatar 2-5 - 4 Begins Production - Maybe a 6 and 7

Saw it on RealD 3D... WOW, THE MOVIE WAS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE, IN 3D! What an experience! This movie will do well over the holidays, despite the opening. I already cannot wait to see it at again.
It wasn’t released in China, was Maverick? I still haven’t seen it and missed out on the bundle sale 😆

I wanna see it again just to soak in this world/amazing visuals again. Cameron has left every director in the dust visually, he and his team deserve as much praise as possible.

I’m sure the internet bros will pick this movie apart and tell us how much it sucks till the next one…

There's a bunch of Cameron-isms in The Way of Water, just like every other Cameron movie before this, but something here just feels more alive and grounded in this than the 2009 film. For instance, you can really tell that the dialog itself was really ironed out better beforehand. On the visual side, I mean, the way that the camera feels like a handheld in some of the underwater scenes, naturally dipping in and out of the water, just all comes together in such a way, that it really brings you into those scenes, like you are viewing something that's happening right in front of you, especially in 3D. It's such a different experience than I was imagining, coming from the original Avatar, which I do like, unapologetically. Then there's the mocap to render of the characters, which they just feel alive in a way that I just found myself forgetting that they are digital creations, after getting lost in the story.

TDIL that no, Top Gun Maverick was not released in China, due to a Taiwanese flag on his jacket.

Surprised they didn't just digitally alter that, but at the same time, f@ck em!

Good movie though, and also deserves to be seen on the biggest screen possible.

Loved the first and have been looking forward to this, but the thought of sitting in the theaters for over 3 hours has me questioning whether to go or wait for streaming. Seems like something worth seeing in 3D but idk. At least I'm off all week so not like time is an issue.

I question whether I want to sit in the theater for 3 hours and 10 minutes for Babylon.

It literally flew by, for me. I can't wait to watch it again. As much as I loved Endgame, that felt longer, somehow. This flew by, because you get lost in the experience. I felt more like a part of this somehow, compared to the first one. It's hard to explain. I don't know if it was the 3D, or what.

I think, with endgame, it was all the anticipation for it and you just wanted to know the outcome. It kinda felt like two and a half movies in one, the recap/current-state, the heist, the final battle. WoW was more of a retelling if the first one only from the perspective of kids and Dominic torettos mantra of family.

I agree. Didn’t feel like 3.5 hours.

Go see it on the biggest screen possible you will not be disappointed. Never once felt bored or it dragged this world is just so interesting.

Oof at the box office numbers. It'll have legs but we're not talking Maverick legs.
I love how people repeat this nonsense with each and every James Cameron film, and are always WRONG! Every. Single. Time. 🤣
