How successful do you think this BC is?

  • Selling more digital 360 games?
  • Encouraging those that don't have a X1 to get one so they don't leave their 360 games behind?
  • Buying a X1 as a new gamer and getting a new larger library?
  • Playing cross platform with others that haven't jumped to the X1?
  • Do you think MS can track who is playing COD or any other BC game by platform to see how big the online BC population is?
  • Do developers like this for more digital sales?
I am just thinking out loud. Personally I don't use it as I have little gaming time available so I am not going back to play my old games.

Very successful. I keep all my old consoles, having the BC feature isn't a deal breaker either way for me. But damn, i would love to have real BC on my PS4. It would just be nice to have.

I think Microsoft is really gaining the faith back from gamers with things like BC. It shows that their 'nobody left behind' motto is the future. You should be able to play your entire gaming library on one box. Technology should always be two steps forward, without the one step back.

I think devs love it when they are releasing a sequel to a last gen game (Deus Ex, XCOM, Gears, South Park, etc.) in the near future.

Was happy to see that Gears of War 3 was a pre-order reward for ordering Gears 4. Have been trying to play it - it has locked up on me six times and I'm still on the opening fight on the deck of the ship - locks up the whole Xbox and have to do a hard manual reset each time.

Well that answers the question.. better with kinect games will work. So hopefully child of Eden.

Didn't think Gears 1 and Judgment were BC for some reason. Got codes for all four games with Gears 4.

Mine were in the case along with the season pass and some stickers

I went digital. After looking into it a bit looks like I should be getting a message via Xbox Live that will contain the codes.

I got the standard edition and still got the codes.

Of course i got screwed out of a GameStop deal though. Forgot to pre-order, if i had then i would have got $20 off my next new X1 game purchase.

Silent Hill: Downpour, Puzzle Quest, and Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard have joined the Xbox One backwards compatibility library.

Is it possible that MS could activate XBLIG as BC games? I've got 6-7 $1 twin stick shooters I wouldn't mind playing. I could always just boot up my 360, but BC on X1 is a touch easier.

Also, at some point I want to just give away my 360 to a niece or nephew.
