Battlefield 2042 has broken the 100,000+ concurrent players mark on Steam today, thanks to its current free period & a hefty discount.

I’ve been playing this a lot lately been having a lot of fun. Is it just me or is this game tougher than previous BF games. I don’t go as high on kills and stay pretty even on kills/deaths.

Why even ask them then lol

This is a common thing. What they are doing is looking for free marketing, not any real help developing the game. The reality is you need streamers to like your game, otherwise it falls flat.

I'd also wonder who they supposedly got. Getting random FPS streamers to guide the game actually makes a lot of sense with what we ended up with. That's really what this game felt like at launch, a kind of mish mosh of streamer nonsense with no real game underneath.

I know a few of the long time BF streamers and they haven't mentioned anything. Jackfrags is a long time BF (and other fps game) streamer, so it will be interesting to see if he says anything.

Who cares. Streamers are often clueless anyway.

Dice literally has decades worth of feedback from BF fans. Use it. Want to make a BR? Go look at feedback given to Warzone and PUBG. All the info they would ever need is at their finger tips.

Yeah, I think streamers want what is good for clicks, and that's not always good for games. Most streamers want a game that they can run around, COD style and mow everyone down.

I don't think streamers want balanced games, but stuff they can run around and get crazy kill/death ratios. They want entertainment, not a game that's fun for everyone. How many streamers run around getting tons of kills but losing because they never play the objective? Streamers want COD. How many of them play Dom in COD and never do anything but farm kills off the flag?

Yep the good streamers and content creators want shooters with bigger skill gaps not an even playing field. They also hate SBMM because they want to farm the bad to average players.

Played for the first time in months yesterday, my aiming is pretty terrible since I'm just not playing MP shooters these days but I don't hate the new map I quite like the urban warfare feel.

Exactly.

Not 2042 related, but apparently EA is putting their kernel level anti-cheat in BF V in early April.

I have no idea how good it is, but hopefully limits some of the crazy obvious cheating these games seem to have. I haven't played a BF game in ages, but might install BF V on PC to see.
