I just think BF might be on the right track again finally. All the maps seem to be mixing vehicle warfare and infantry warfare without catering more to one or the other. BFV leaned way too much in favour of infantry v infantry.

Hope the open beta drops during EA Play.
I’ve always wanted both franchises to do well and hated when fan boys on either side compared them. From the 360 days on when I wanted fast paced smaller map action I played COD, when I wanted big battles with vehicles and destruction I played BF. Hopefully this BF is great.

There is room for both, clearly. COD is the sales king. But I prefer BF, but still like both.

It has always been a dumb comparison. Two very different shooters offering very different experiences.

COD has always been different, but with MW going with bigger teams and adding Warzone, there was a lot more direct competition. Back when COD was mostly 6v6 it was different, but now there's more overlap.

BF V was probably always going to flop, but Warzone didn't help. Every BF Youtuber I know switched over and never looked back.

BF is always going to have fans, but it would be nice if the game really got itself back into the mainstream.

I disagree. Neither Warzone or the large player mode offer an experience like BF.

BFV was bad. It isn't a proper BF game.

I don't really care how many maps there are, just give me good gameplay. Give me the old style BF games where I'd start the game at 11am on a Saturday and suddenly realize it is dinner time.

The important thing is the base game being stable and playable and not filled with all the early bugs that seem to plague the series. The game needs to be working day 1 so they can spend all their time adding content to the game.

Didn't look too hot visually.
That map with the neon during the sand storm looked like visibility is going to be s*** to me, it reminded me a bit of the Dawnbreaker map from BF4 only all red with a sandstorm.

I would be all over Battlefield games IF I could drive any vehicle worth a damn. As I grown too accustomed to simplistic videogame controls, I'll watch others do amazing things on youtube.

Visually looked terrible, almost like someone smeared vaseline all over the image. I watched the released Youtube video after the event stream and it still looked like they smeared vaseline on it.

It says pre alpha footage. Hard to tell if that means anything nowadays.

This looks really good.

I've played every BF game and I'm absolutely terrible at flying. I simply never do it, and just sit in the secondary seats and help my team.

I try to be decent at ground vehicles, only because teammates love to abandon them and sometimes you need to jump in and take them, but even that I'm not great in.

It is just surprising is all. Ever since they moved to Frostbite the games have looked very nice.
Did you watch it in 4K yet? It looks better than the E3 debut that was streamed at 1080p. Much more crisp.
