Why can’t we cross play wit Series X and PS5 only? F*** playing FPS shooters against PC players. I’ve been doing that for a couple years with COD and guess what…. it ain’t fun.
No console only crossplay is a no buy for me. BF on PC is absolutely dominated by cheats and has other advantages. BF makes COD look like it has good anti-cheat. I don't even think BF even has it at all.
Only being able to match with other XSX players is going to mean a super small player base. I get why they can't mix old gen consoles because the game isn't the same, but there will not be enough people playing on just next gen. Just let X and PS5 match together and it will work great.
Destiny 2 is doing this with their PVP right now and it is horrible. You only match with other next gen Xbox consoles and it takes forever to find a match and it is super laggy, because of course the population isn't that big. We're probably going to end up in bot lobbies.
I'm done with console to PC crossplay. It is a complete and total disaster for console players.

Hopefully they add in console only cross play. Now I’m not sure if I even want to get this now.
It could work out like Apex Legends where it seems to prioritize matching conspole v console. I played hundreds of BR games and hundreds of arena games and never saw a single PC player.
If they had next-gen console cross-play only I probably would have gotten it at release on PS5 to play with XSX friends, but if that isn't possible then not buying it until I get an XSX which who knows when I will bother. The only other game coming out by the end of the year I really want to play on that is Forza Horizon 5.

I've never played that, but I know in Warzone you'll get tons of PC players. All it takes is one cheater. All the Warzone console streamers are moving over to PC and they are amazed at how much better they are. It is silly to put console players with no FOV against PC players.
Even in MW and CW 6v6 I was regularly in all PC lobbies although that is some of their skill based matchmaking.
I may as well get this on PC. If I can't avoid cheaters anyway, I may as well have the PC advantages. I'm average at Battlefield at best on console. Throwing PC players in and I'm just going to get wrecked.
It is nothing like Warzone.
Thankfully Apex is an EA game. So, hopefully will take the same approach.
Another thing to remember, a bunch of EA source code was hacked, and BF2042 was part of it. That makes it even easier for hackers.
Gotta make sure all those PC wallhacks and aimbots can kill console players too. 
Beating COD isn't a very high bar at this point. Word is that the next COD is a hot mess. I actually liked Cold War but even that was lacking.
It's almost August and it STILL hasn't been announced. That alone says it's DOA.
I still find it strange they haven’t released anything on the new COD.
Watched it several times now, can't see any destruction outside the set piece at the end.
2 major reveals, no destruction. Now I'm worried.
