I can't stop laughing at how bad this game is.

It is a good sign that bloom is #1 on that list. Thank goodness for hovercraft too. There's something off about putting a rocket point blank into a balloon and having it do 10 damage. ;)

We have 3 companies working on BF2042", We are delaying NFS to focus on BF2042", "We took an extra year to develop this game".

They had 4 studios working on this:

They had DICE Stockholm, Ripple Effect Studios, EA Gothenburg, and Criterion Games and this turd they released was their culmination. LOL.

it's gonna take 6 months to a year to get this game in a state where it should have realistically launched at.

I thought that bloom was a graphical feature or something, or is that what we're calling terrible bullet spread now?

That's what they call it now. I was confused when some poster called it weapon bloom until I saw his video. I thought he was talking about the flash of a weapon being fired. Like maybe it was too bright I guess.

Destiny 2 had this too. It was pretty bad sometimes especially with hand cannons.

"The Bloom of a gun is its random chance of hitting the target straight on. So, the more bloom a gun has in fortnite, the less chance the bullet will fly perfectly straight, no matter if you are crouching or not moving."

Try the trial for yourself and ignore the masses. There's lots of people who have an ax to grind. You can actually find a lot of people who are just reiterating technical problems from the open beta that were fixed at launch. These same people are the ones who had a nuclear meltdown over BF V and now are saying that was the best game ever. Who were the same people who did the same thing with BF1. Funny how that's a classic BF game now.

I played tonight and had quite a bit of fun. I played a few matches in cross play and had the servers crash twice and my Series X crash once. Turned that off and it ran fine aside from having lengthy waits to start matches now and again.

My only complaints at the moment is visibility and audio. Both are things I can likely tweak myself, I just havent messed with either yet. I love that the tanks have spotter seats now. I spent several matches just spotting enemy after enemy for the driver and gunner to take out. In my last match of the night I racked up an obscene number of kills in a basic jeep that the driver and ranked up enough to have the 3rd or 4th weapon unlock, it was obscenely powerful.

So good to go when it hits EA Play.

At least two of those studios work here in Sweden, so they can't blame the China flu on this failure since they could've worked at the office basically all the time.

The amount of ball dropping (not the good kind) that's been going on lately is incredible lol

I found an in game audio profile I liked for my headphones, and made some slight adjustments to the HDR tool to brighten dark areas up slightly, problems completely solved. Played a few more matches, stayed up much later than I should have. Maybe I just haven't had as much time as the rest of you with it, but I'm seeming to be having a very different experience than most of you, having a lot of fun so far. I've been waiting for a shooter of this scale in terms of map and player count since MAG way back when, it's so cool to be able to look off in the distance at every angle and see some sort of action or battle going on.

I'm liking playing as the support specialist who can drop the large resupply / respec crate. I can deck mysef out in such a way that I can give ammo, armor, heath, and revive. Ultimate support. Went on a huge roadkill streak in a jeep on my last match in a desert map, tons of enemies running through open desert on foot with no cover, I could hit them with the jeep faster than my gunner could kill them with the gun!

Got up to level 11 or 12 on my first day, can't complain.

A guy I work with said the game is a complete disaster. Nothing but bugs for him. Stuck on buildings, can't join squads, areas of his menu are greyed out and can access things. He has even tried restarting his PS5. He says he is seeing the same complaints online.

Why is it working for some but not for others.

Turning off crossplay definitely resolved the crashing for me on XSX. Still getting some rubber banding here and there though. I'll get some falling through the ground or other surfaces when I die visual bugs, but no game breaking problems.

I just read a patch came out this morning. I am undecided on whether I should buy this.

I was playing last night and having tons of fun. Was a chopper gunner for a bit in a wild, big battle. Next I was a tank gunner and engineer to repair. Was having a blast until we got rushed by a C5 (not sure I'll ever get used to 5) squad rush us, then it was a prolonged infantry battle. Trying to capture objectives on top of the roof is a blast.

I'm genuinely confused by all the saltiness around this game. It needs a balance patch for sure so hopefully we don't have to wait long for that. I'm still having a blast playing the main game. I haven't even tried Portal yet (I know once I do I'll be in there for hours).

Update 0.2.1
Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Implemented Server Side upgrades that are targeted at reducing instances of Rubber Banding, often experienced in the later part of a round in All-Out Warfare modes.
Significantly reduced instances of stuttering when playing on Breakaway. If the Silo’s are destroyed, it should no longer reduce performance on the server.
A note that we are continuing to investigate similar occurrences that have been reported to us on other maps.
When looking at allies on your team, their names will now correctly display.
Adjusted the animations for Falck during the End of Round sequence to ensure that she is displayed correctly.
Updated a skin earnable for Boris via Mastery Progression with a new name: Gator.
Ensured that TDM Rounds in Battlefield Portal always start with Random Deploy set as active. We observed that this sometimes wasn’t active when moving from round to round, but have now fixed this.
Applied a set of measures that ensure the correct number of AI spawn in Custom Battlefield Portal modes using the Free for All preset.
PC Only - Enabled Specialist Selection in Hazard Zone via mouse interaction, removing the need to lock in your selection with the Spacebar.
Fixed a rare occurrence in Hazard Zone that would sometimes cause the End of Round flow to not activate correctly, ensuring that the correct amount of bonus XP was awarded.
Repaired an issue found in Hazard Zone that could cause players to be shown on the Map when they were not visible, or spotted.
Provided a fix for Hazard Zone players who were not seeing their Extraction Streaks updating correctly.
Server side upgrades being the only important fix, while the rest is just filler.

I've experienced none of those bugs in almost 10 hours, but I hard crashed the other night and scared to boot it up again.
