Has anyone gotten good at being anti-vehicle? I'm so sick of all the tanks and that Bolte thing dominating, but I still haven't had a good anti tank loadout. I'm guessing the hacker guy with a launcher, but it is so hard to get close. Once a vehicle sees you, it is get wrecked time. I usually just stick to repairing other vehicles, as that's usually the best way to be useful. I was thinking maybe the wingsuit and C5 for a quick flank might be more viable. I just have a need to blow up some tanks. That was my favorite thing in BF3-4.

I find it can be a little tricky on your own, but once someone's helping you it's much easier, I've found sundances anti tank grenades and rocket launcher pretty handy, those bolte things are annoying, miss the good old LAVs.

Really pissed off, I wanted this game to be good. Portal is such a great idea but so far it has been poorly executed. The main game 2042 is a huge dumpster fire. When I played the technical playtest, and then the beta, after the beta I had a spidey sense that told me to cancel my preorder, this game is going to come out really broken, technically and fundamentally. So I did I canceled and got a refund before the actual launch.

I am sure the game will be in a better state in 6 months, and then it'll prolly be 30-40 bucks, but that isn't he point. Companies have to stop releasing games in this state, I am done supporting companies who think this is OK.
Unfortunately it is becoming more and more common.

"We are ahead of schedule" "Development given an extra year", they said. Companies like EA need to quit the PR/hype bulls***.

Interesting in the video here, NXGamer hypothesizes that the big frame times drops and spikes could be caused by the specific memory architecture of XSX (10GB of fast, 3.5GB of slow). When the game needs more than 10GB of fast memory that could cause the big frame-time stutters (including the 0fps freezes).

He noticed on PC the game sometimes suddenly uses all 16GB of ram creating big stutters and a similar thing could require more than 10GB of fast memory on XSX, creating a similar issue.

He tested for hours the game on all consoles and this specific problems happened only on XSX, not even on XSS, maybe because on XSS all fast memory (8GB) is already allocated to the game. The slow memory is all reserved for the OS, not the game.

If true then after The Touryst it could be the second game to have big problems to run properly on that console because of a hardware limitation. And it's probable we'll see this problem occurs again in the future.

NXGamer does say the game doesn't seem ready for release either and should have targeted next year for release.

Oh look!!! Another example of XSS being the best.

I've not had a crash on XSX but I get these horrible FPS drops now. Something seems way worse on console with this latest patch. The game was running much better before.

Digital Foundry feels that this is a bug and could be addressed in an update. They noted the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S all dropped. Of note, the fast ram in the Series X is faster than the ram in the PS5.

It definitely feels like a bug and not performance. It is like all of a sudden things just stop. It isn't like an inconsistent framerate and isn't necessarily when a lot is going on. A helicopter strafing you is often enough to make it happen.

Anyway I tried some anti-vehicle stuff and the hacker guy is definitely the best. Killing tanks and especially the Bolte is still tough, but you can really disrupt an attack just constantly hacking them. You can even hack them through cover, which is pretty easy to cheese. You can't stop them but you can basically stop all their weapons from working.

Sounds like Halo Campaign has this issue too on the XSX.

The problem happened on XSS also, I have seen video of it happening on it. The game is broken, probably has several memory leaks.

I really want to like the base game, but man, the game just doesn’t feel great and the maps are not very good.
Need to dig into portal more.

can you turn off the text chat box on the series x?

Still nothing on performance issues, but some more good fixes coming tomorrow.

they nerfed XP grenades?! i mean prox. grenades!?

i get why, but it was just great fun seeing so many popups when using them in breakthrough :(

They are removing the rooftop objectives in breakthrough too, which is huge. Definitely give Breakthrough a try once this patch lands. I still think it is the best way to play over conquest.

Might go back to playing after the update, it's crazy how much better BF4 is in every aspect except graphics, I really hope we get some good new maps, the only one I like is the shipping yard.

That's why I still play Battlefield 4. It's superior in every way, except graphics. I'm not sure I am going back to 2042 any time soon. F*ck EA.

Good but console vs console is a bigger need.

Yeah, crossplay off isn't the answer, at least on Xbox. NG Xbox only is a pretty small population. Maybe PS5 can handle it but even that would probably be thin with the console shortage. It is really frustrating that nobody has figured this out.

The Touryst runs at a flat 60 FPS and 6K, downsampled to 4K and it has "big problems to run properly"? Come on.

The PS5 renders at 8K and downsamples to 4K, but was also released quite a bit later and could be a result of optimization time. Regardless of the reason, your statement is blatantly false.
