I wasn't on board the 128 is too many train at first, but I really want to see how this plays. I think people could be right that 64 is the sweet spot. At the very least I think it is better for conquest.

Do you think the maps will be too big for just 64 players?

There are smaller, 64 player versions of the maps for old gen consoles, so I think we'll be playing on those. It will be interesting to see if it works out.

Conquest on 128 was just too random. You could hit a point and see nobody, or there could be 3 full squads and a bunch of tanks. It was just too unpredictable.

at some point i would also like to see 64 player version of the map but with 128 players

Just played 64 player mode on conquest and breakthrough. I hope they keep it. It seems to be less buggy and bullet registration was much better. It was weird playing with mostly console players. There was only like 10 of us PC gamers in each match I played.

They should definitely keep 64 players for conquest. It feels a ton better and seems to be the perfect size. Lots of action, but still some strategy. Personally, I like 128 for Breakthrough, but 64 for conquest. Maybe that would be a compromise. I like the way Breakthrough plays since they fixed the dumb rooftop points which were impossible to take.

I'd be ok if they just got rid of 128 though for sure.

I want 128 with smaller maps and console vs console crossplay.

I was thinking some maps like seine crossing, pearl market, lumphini garden would be so great at 128 players with updated graphics (probably a little chaotic)

Battlefield V all over again. lol

Game is already on sale. Free weekend ending today. Game is walking on thin ice.

This game will be fine. People love to dump on EA games. They'd be smart to do a free weekend on console and let next gen console players try it out.

Won a free 50 dollar XBL game card from a Discord raffle yesterday and a couple of my good friends pressured me to use it to buy BF2042 for Series X. Bought it and the whole night the game was stalling, stuttering, and micro freezing for all of us (it was NOT network lag). What a pile of s***.

Yeah, it's an issue on all the consoles sadly.

Can confirm, 1 of the guys in our party was playing on a Series S and he was getting the issue also.
I play 2042 on my XSX online with a colleague at work, who plays on his PS5. He had to stop playing it was so bad for him. He has been playing Vanguard now until its patched. I stopped playing 2042 on my XSX as well until DICE really nail down the performance in a future patch.

Yep, our guy got off to play Warzone because he said the stuttering was "complete and utter horses***"
