Official Thread Battlefield 2042

I'm honestly thinking Vietnam. Stay away from what COD is doing, but not so old as to play completely different. 64 players only (128 is what sunk 2042). Some vehicles but heavy infantry focus mostly. Smaller maps with better destruction. Still lots of cover and chaos but still some map variety.

The only small problem is weapon customization, but hopefully they can find some ways to make that interesting even if it stretches a bit. I really like the 2042 "plus" system for changing attachments on the fly.

Maybe that's over thinking it, and just go modern.

I loved that Vietnam expansion, and was always hoping they’d return to it.

Otherwise, as others have said, please don’t try to be COD in any way.

128 players isn't what sunk it. It starting out as a BR then adapting it sunk it. Heroes instead of classes sunk it. Terrible map design sunk it. Lack of weapons sunk it. 128 players isn't even close to being the cause.

Game plays good, not amazing but definitely better and easier to get in to.

I hope 2042 keeps a player base moving forward. Even if I do end up putting time in to MW2, this game is too fun to give up on.

Hopefully it hits GP/EA Play by COD MW2/WZ2 release. This could be my alternative when I get frustrated with the new COD.

From what I played of MW2...I still prefer the gunplay of this over it.

It'll stay. Despite all its issues it is still a better BF game than Ground War.

My guess is this will hit EA play this month or next.

New COD is fast approaching and still no release date of when it might hit EA Play. Crazy.

That event looks fun. I'm enjoying this game while I can. Probably 2 more seasons and that's it. It might not even have a population past MW2.

No clue why they haven't put it on EA Play. Makes zero sense to me. It isn't like player numbers are jumping up. Not getting player numbers up before COD is just going to kill the game.
