Battlefield 4 developer Digital Illusions CE is looking into incorporation Kinect features such as head tracking to the Xbox One version of the game, executive producer Patrick Bach told Xbox Wire.

The studio has yet to confirm these Kinect-based features for the upcoming Battlefield installment, which Bach says would "enhance controls" in the game; However, the team has a clear image of what it would comprise of, according to possible features suggested by Bach.

"Through SmartGlass, Xbox players will be able to view the overhead map during multiplayer matches and take advantage of the second screen," he said.

"Also, with Kinect, we're looking into features that enhance the controls including peeking and leaning and tracking head movement as well as incorporating voice commands."

Battlefield 4 will release Oct. 29 on Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game will then launch on Nov. 19 for Xbox One and Nov. 12 for PlayStation 4.

eh, gimmick or not, it will be an option to use or not. turn off / on headtracking. If they include it, fine, if not, fine... LOL Either way, I will be playing this one.

this is already discussed in the multiplat forum. (and no i dont think we should have a forum for "multiplatform" games, just platform sections)

I agree, I don't like going to the OCD just to discuss a game coming to the X1 , multiplatform or not.

I'm for keeping this here as the info is specific to X1.

That's what i was thinking not too sure why people want it in OCD etc.

Anyways i'm not sure how to feel on this, if it feels natural and actually enhances experience then i'm all in.
