I might be high (I am) but is it me or is there a lack of AO or shadows in general in that video clip? Again yes, I AM high.
Yep...seen somebody mention it and whn you look at it you can tell....hopefully they just had them turned off for the demo which has happened in the past.Gameplay looked great all the same.

Its hard to tell anything really from this footage, but this wall texture looks nice :)

I was thinking the textures look kinda nasty. Like on the tanks in particular.

Hard to judge from the short video, but i expect it to be on par with the PS4 version that i played at GC. Was very smooth but graphically indeed pretty much BF3, with new things like trees moving in the wind, but damn....having 60fps and 64 players surely sacrificed a s***load on the graphics.

Yes but if you can manage to see the 2nd screen the lighting/shadows are there.

Still a work in progress though, but day 1 for me regardless.

The best they'll manage on console when all's said and done is a resolution of 900p scaled to 1080p. But then it's a cross gen game. If you spoil yourself watching too much pc footage, then you'll definitely be disappointed with the looks of the console version. A casual peek at the pc version also shows that the maps/environments look more cleaner.

here is a review:

Battlefield 4 - Playing on Xbox one

This was my tweet as i joined the line to play the game 'Wow first eyes on of battlefield 4 on xbox one. Silky smooth and the graphics are gorgeous'. I was seriously surprised by first it was running on xbox one (i expected pc) and second how polished it looked.

As i was queueing the power went out in the battlefield 4 section and although this delayed my play session it did give a chance to get the see some of the xbox one UI and prove it was actually running on xbox one hardware :-).

There where three modes being played in 32 player configurations i got to play essentially a capture a flag variant where you have to pick up a bomb and take it to a location.

This was my tweet afterwards 'Hands on with battlefield 4 was great'. After playing this i dont think i can bring myself to play the xbox 360 version i think i will wait for the xbox one launch.

Apparently only Conquest is designed to be played with 64 players. Every other mode is less than 64. I was kinda looking forward to a 64 player Rush game, but oh well.

Can't wait!

If I'm not mistaken you can just find a server where the settings are for 64 players. I read somehwere in the comments that somebody asked through Facebook and they said the player count can vary.

I think that you're probably right. They mention "designed" for 32 players or 20 players when referring to the game modes, but never specifically say what the player caps are.

I hope that you're right.

I hope I'm right too. Then again, it's only natural that 64 player count be in CQ.

I little right up from a guy at GAF that went today on BF4 and Titanfall

Hope you guys don't mind me posting this stuff from GAF. Alot of those guys got to go to the expose today.

Let me guess. The GAF Sony patrol said he was paid to praise the XBOX ONE.

It looks great. Battlefield 4 will be a cutting edge experience for the FPS genre. Not quite the pinnacle of first person shooters like Call of Duty: Ghosts but a great experience in it's own right.
