Is the lag icon the red Ethernet cord pic?
I think it is the one that sort of looks like a round clock.

Not experienced that at all. Since the last patch tge game has been really enjoyable for me...... well except for those brown/invisible soldier issues. Some good news, a dev is on reddit acknowledging some of the lag we're seeing
There is definitely something wrong that has happened with the recent update when it comes to "netcode". This has first been reported and caught with planes hit registration (mostly due to the speed at which they fly) but this is also an issue with general infantry combat, moving targets can be impo...
The issue is very likely exactly the same for vehicles / planes and infantry so if the plane hit registration issue is fixed, this will also fix the infantry part.
I cannot give an ETA on a potential fix at this point (especially given the fact it's sunday) but we will be sharing updates as soon as...

Al Sundan is supposefly coming mid July. So, we should get 2 maps in the last 2 weeksish of the month. Then 2 more in August.Yes, the invisible glitch is still not fixed. They updated some things that are fixed, and what they still need to work on
What’s fixed?
This update looks to significantly reduce the number of stability issues experienced on Xbox, and rectify the Hit Registration issues that have been experienced across all platforms. During testing, we discovered that Hit Registration wasn’t only impacting Planes, but all aspects of combat in the game, and this update should restore it back to a healthy state.
In addition to this, we were also able to include a simple fix that restores functionality to Face Paints. This was a quick configuration change that requires a client side update, but one that we were able to both identify, implement, and verify with minimal effort so we’ve opted to include it here rather than save it for a future update.
What’s not fixed?
We’re still investigating potential fixes for the ‘Invisible Soldier’ issue that appeared with the recent updates. Originally we believed that this was caused by faulty customization options, however after extensive testing we’ve learned that this is a purely random occurrence that exists on the client side only, and whilst harmful to the gameplay experience, it’s something that we’re confident isn’t something that’s able to be intentionally exploited by players.
We believe that this is caused by an engine issue that prevents the client from rendering the needed texture files, and isn’t consistent across all players on the server. Whilst it may be that you’re attacked by an Invisible Soldier, it’s every bit as likely that your Squad Mates are indeed seeing the opposing player correctly, and better able to identify the threat and engage. This remains a priority for us to resolve in our next update.
The stability issues affecting Al Sundan on Conquest have otherwise been resolved, however through fixing this we’ve discovered a graphical corruption (Artifacting) that we’re not happy with. We’re continuing to work on this one and will keep you updated this month. This won’t impact our intent to deliver Marita to you this month, and we’re working to get you out on the full version of Al Sundan as soon as possible.
On behalf of the Battlefield team, thanks for your patience whilst we resolved these issues. Updates on additionally tracked issues are available here.
The game has a long way to go, and Dice/BF5 have a long-standing rep for not hitting the mark. I'm not getting my hopes up. Game prolly wont work at all come July 4th.....Thankfully! Stranger Things happens on the same day.I'm hopeful they can get back on track. On one hand, they seem responsive to issues, but it is hard to ignore their obvious testing issues.
More delays wouldn't surprise me, but at least they are putting hot fixes out.
Yeah like right now. For some reason i can't run. If I go prone, my gun goes off. When I stand up, my gun goes off. My run is actually like a slow crawl. Battlefield nowadays isn't really Battlefield at all. Way too much infantry v infantry focus. After playing almost every BF game since 1943 came out I finally got sick and tired of the half finished and broken games at launch. BFV is on another level though. I decided to just skip it entirely.

BF 1942 & BF2 were just epic games. Proper infantry v vehicle large scale warfare with great maps. We even had an actual anti-tank class too. Since the move to console the identity has been increasingly tainted into a typical TDM type of experience. No need for infantry focused maps in conquest when you have a TDM mode.
I was always an anti-vehicle guy. But the fun in that has slowly died as the balancing got worse and worse. BF5 is terrible is this regard. Hence why armour jumst camps the edge of ghe map.I've only ever played BF on console and the older versions had a ton of vehicles in them, I'm not a fan of the on foot stuff myself I was always a tank guy but they've made it so hard to even get one anymore I don't even bother playing the game at all.

In BF 5 I play Medic all the time, mainly because medics seem too few and medics playing the actual role seem very rare.
They camp the edge cause tanks are weak. The problem is console players don't understand how to use tanks properly. They sit on the edge of the map because they don't know how to play. Other drivers just drive right on top of the objective while taking hits from the sides and back and do nothing. Assault throws some rockets and dynamite and that's it. People get the red damage icon and still don't move.
Tanks are mobile weapons. They should be moving constantly unless you are repairing. They should be circling around the objective at full speed, always attacking, but they need to be supported by infantry. Infantry need to take the points, not tanks.
The other problem with tanks is being a machine gunner on them is nearly impossible on console. Even if you can get hits with all the janky aim and constant bumps throwing off your aim, you can't do enough damage to infantry. The top gun is ok, but you get shot off it easily. The internal guns are safe, but good luck hitting anything. I always try and spawn in tanks and help them but I can't hit anything with those guns.

No. They are just weak.Tanks are weak, because people who drive them go into obvious bottlenecks where infantry can swamp them. A tank that is always moving and staying away from concentrations of buildings is effective.
Assault has a lot of anti-tank weapons. I run that loadout most of the time. Piat and AT grenades or dynamite. I kill tanks because people stop and let me. The tanks that keep moving are nearly impossible to damage significantly. They need to keep moving, attack quick and fall back and re-arm and repair.
What they need to do is change the animation on the top gunner to be much smaller, with only their heads exposed. Them sitting there with half their body sticking on top of a tank is one of the issues. Tanks get killed because nobody bothers to jump in the top gunner (or if they do they are dead in seconds). I would also buff the machine guns significantly, at least on console.
More hit and run and less park and shoot. I've spent entire rounds as a gunner on a tank that never got killed.
If it is controller then you should have issues in other games aswell.I'm having problems still. I can't run and my gun discharges for no reason. I don't know if it's a controller issue or a game issue.

I usually stay back a bit with tanks and either go after groups taking flags, taking out cover or going after other vehicles, I never go into choke points, especially since more classes are able to damage tanks now. Back in the old days you had to be an engineer or a sniper to really do any damage but at least in BF1 I seemed like they all had a way to damage tanks although it could just be my memory playing ticks on me there.
