I wanted to pick up something cheap but good for the new systems coming out. I was hoping for something between 42-50". There's literally a billion choices, can a few of you die hards recommend some good sets for this price? Appreciate it.

I'm not in the moon to find any specific links, but I got an Insignia (Best Buy's brand IIRC) 3 years ago and it's still going strong with a nice 1080p picture.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I guess I just really want something solid for gaming. 120hz for sure, and 1080p.

just picked up a insignia 50 in 1080p 120 hz for $440 at best buy. Don't know how good it is.

You could wait till Black Friday and get something that is more than 600 for under 600 probably.

Just picked up a insignia myself. First HD tv can't tell the difference did I waste my money

Remember though, a LOT of Walmart TV's are not equivalent to other store's TV. A Panasonic at Amazon may be different than the one at Walmart.

What's the most important thing you guys look for with buying TV's? Besides input lag, is it important to get as high refresh rate as possible? Looking to upgrade my old 1080i TV in prep for next gen.

Yeah, input lag, refresh rates, 1080p.

I still have my orignal HDTV since 2007. All this talk is making me want a new one.

I just got the 55 inch LG for 499 @ bestbuy. Great black friday deal. Moving up from a 39 inch lg

Any of you know how the Sharp LED TVs are? I am thinking about grabbing the 60 inch 120hz 1080P, Its usually $1000-$1200 but noticed Best Buy has it on sale right now for $800. I have had my eye on the 70inch for a long time but at this price I might consider the 60 inch instead. I have a 50 inch Samsung Plasma 720P and I am sure this will be a big upgrade.

I do like my Samsung but I have been noticing lately more and more red dots and the burn in last night from Madden when trying to watch a movie right after was pretty annoying, seemed like it took forever to go away. Also when playing Peggle the other night the bottom of the screen looked kind of strange, almost fuzzy looking, not sure if this is normal for this TV or signs that its on its way out.
