BioWare's Newest RPG Is Called Shadow Realms

As hinted at during this year's E3, here is a first look at BioWare's brand new game. It's called Shadow Realms.
Set in a "modern fantasy world," Shadow Realms is an action role-playing game. Have a look at gameplay in the trailer below:


It has four-versus-one gameplay, with four players able to fight against the Shadow Lord that controls everything in the game or play as the evil lord



Developed by BioWare Austin, Shadow Realms is currently slated for PC. The episodic role-playing game is kicking off its closed Alpha

With no gameplay as of now, and this being made by Bioware Austin instead of Edmonton or Montreal studios, I don't know what to feel about this. For now, I just signed up for Alpha. I'll just wait and see how it unfolds.

I was under the impression it was, but I don't really have any proof to support that.

Nah, this has been suddenly in viral marketing out of nowhere for just a month. No detail has come out for the new IP from Edmonton team.

Looking at the logo, I thought Bioware was making a fantasy game, but not this modern world/fantasy monster hybrid style.

Not a fan of these kinds of games meshing old and new settings. Never a fan of Assassin's Creed, but when I played a buddy's copy way back when it was released it was sure odd to be playing this middle east setting game from years back, but then there would be those modern day lab scenes with high tech fonts. Meh.

That gameplay couldn't have looked more generic.
