(R.I.P) Bleeding Edge

I'm hoping that we actually get a more in depth look at the game after the Conference. It looks promising to me. Although I'm not really a multiplayer gamer.

Because when you have a game with a server to host and you see 200,000 achievements unlocked from each copy but only sold 50,000 copies you know something is wrong.

Or you have a online game and you have people with 2nd hand filling up the servers when the developers dont see the sales, you know someone is selling and your getting Jack sh!t.

Yes and they sold that copy of the game already, it's not 200k concurrent users, it's all people who are using the same copy so if you sold 50k and 200k are there only 50k are actually active, the rest aren't playing anymore those were either traded in and sold used or given away. It's a tricky thing because when you buy a physical copy of something it's presumed that you own it, yes I know software makers say it's just a way of delivering software and it's basically you licensing their product from them not buying it but it has never been treated that way until the last gen and a half. When you see the big titles selling over 10 million copies it's hard to feel sorry for developers, I know with smaller titles they claim it hurts but I have a hard time believing those games would have sold at retail at all otherwise. MP game makers really shouldn't complain, that's just more chances to sell repeat DLC.

Ninja Theory was set up. From this point on it will already be judged and hate before they can even talk about it. The worst part is to go on stage and talk on something you already have the sinking feeling because some a****** wanted to continue the hate train.

Now they will be 1,000 or more videos and talking trash to set up the trend of hate. That guy needs a good f*cking ass kicking.
Sorry, but if this is the mindset now then the game was screwed regardless.

The whole 2nd hand thing is becoming less and less a tging. Don't feel to bad, though, they are still charging $60 for digital games that have no manufacturing cost, no logistics cost, and receive alot more money per copy...and we can't do anything with it.

As a consumer you might want to worry less about the business and more about the consumer.

It is funny...I mean don't you find it a bit odd that a company who has largely been about singleplayer games has suddenly got a new multiplayer game, the type of game that plays to the strengths of the company who recently purchased them.

That is where the problem stems from IMO. People expected one thing based on the devs history, something that would build upon a weakness the Xbox has. Instead we see something that is completely the opposite.

Well like JinCa said, this project seems like it may have already been in motion before MS acquired them.

Its half people that say they want creative freedom but what they really mean is "have them make the games I want"

And its half people not trusting Microsoft and thinking they forced it on them
Lol at the billion dollar companies convincing people that something is a spoiler. Sure it sucks for them to have their thunder stolen, but the people complaining about spoilers don't need to be convinced. They simply wanted to find out through the whole experience like most people. Just like a movie or a book. People who look forward to an experience generally don't want it spoiled ahead of time.

Anyone that wants a spoiler free show tomorrow hasn't really been spoiled yet except by choice. Nobody has to click on the trailer.

Nobody sheds a tear when movie trailers are leaked.

To be fair, a movie trailer leak isn't the samething. With E3 alot of people want these announcements as surprises. Sure, they don't have to click a link but we assume a link with a vague description is all that gets posted, which isn't likely.

Yet again, completely different issue than asserting that a company has convinced people it's a spoiler

But nobody could have been spoiled by more than a title and vague description unless they wanted to

No because they started it before Hellblade but had to stop due to lack of funds

Yes, in the way it was posted on here, absolutely agree. But was it posted this way everywhere? Unlikely. You don't need to see the video for it to be spoiled...descrptive tweets, you tube titles and thumbnails, general forum discussion posts, etc.

I don't mean odd in a conspiracy way...more like a freaky coincidence.

You also say that cause you seemingly knew about iy before, but imagine you didn't. Perception is everything nowadays...atleast on the web.

The gaming community is toxic when it comes to Microsoft. The game looks cool, but it's not exactly what we want, so it's the worst thing ever.

Those all fall under vague descriptions so I can't agree.

Plus you see people here and other places complaining about spoilers but they will be the same people talking about leaks and rumors all year so they aren't really that sensitive to it. The complaints are mostly fraudulent.

Disagree on the first sentence.

You may be right about it being fraudulant, though.

Heard it was a 4x4 melee game. If true, bummer. I was hoping for something SP.

I understand they have another game in development, though. Presumably that'll be SP, although later in coming.

Yes. The Hellblade team is separate. I’ve heard they have 3 teams. All expanding. Completely different focuses. Nina (founder) wanted to keep company culture in tact. From what I’ve heard, they have no interest in merging teams. Want to keep taking chances on high quality AA projects like they were aiming for before Microsoft bought them. Freedom to continue is why they sold to Microsoft.

All that said, I love it. That’s probably because I prefer high quality niche stuff. Know this game doesn’t interest most people in this forum but seeing some of the gameplay videos shows it’s really high quality. Getting great impressions. It’s one of my favorite things at E3. Combines Sunset Overdrive art, DMC combat and Overwatch or MOBA style multiplayer. Who else in the industry to has the freedom to make something this risky and niche with this high a quality visuals and animations?
