(R.I.P) Bleeding Edge

Yes. The Hellblade team is separate. I’ve heard they have 3 teams. All expanding. Completely different focuses. Nina (founder) wanted to keep company culture in tact. From what I’ve heard, they have no interest in merging teams. Want to keep taking chances on high quality AA projects like they were aiming for before Microsoft bought them. Freedom to continue is why they sold to Microsoft.

All that said, I love it. That’s probably because I prefer high quality niche stuff. Know this game doesn’t interest most people in this forum but seeing some of the gameplay videos shows it’s really high quality. Getting great impressions. It’s one of my favorite things at E3. Combines Sunset Overdrive art, DMC combat and Overwatch or MOBA style multiplayer. Who else in the industry to has the freedom to make something this risky and niche with this high a quality visuals and animations?
Where are these gameplat videos? I'm not seeing any in the usual places. All i'm finding is hands on impression with no gameplay.

The characters look amazing. I signed up for the alpha play test.

Not what I was hoping from them but looks like it could be fun...not for me though.

but the game developers don't see that money from second-hand sales.
As they shouldn't because they already saw the money from the original sale. Changing the meaning of ownership is a path you don't want to go down.
Imagine having to pay a percentage of your home sale to the original builder or used car sale to the dealer.
Its how ownership has worked for centuries and we're not going to change the meaning of ownership to please a bunch of greedy publishers.

Having a product is much different than licensed software.

It is not in the same universe to say company A made a lamp and it was sold from Walmart vs a SOFTWARE LICENSED you to buy,

This is what Gamestop was against having to treat it like it was the first time. To resale, a licensed software from a store and the maker to hold that license don't see that because of money fro the second sale.

This is why developers removed their PC games from most stores and went online.

Gamestop had a foothold for a long time and now they can't control the software because it was never theirs. They are the partners to sell the game but the license does not belong to them, hell not even us.

Character design and presentation look amazing, but I need to see gameplay from people who know what they are doing. Some of the characters look insanely slow.

Not my type of game, but maybe this could be spun off into a single player game in the future with the same “universe”.

I think for those do bitched about NT not making a hell blade game lost their chance to get the beta
