I've never played a Castlevania game although I've wanted to. Maybe I can find some emulators of the old ones otherwise I was just going to grab the reboot when it was on Steam sale sometime. This game looks pretty cool though.

You should. Castlevania 1 & 3 on the NES were great. Stay away from part 2 though.
