Burnout Paradise remaster (March 16)

Yeah, that's what everyone seems to be saying -- it's just a visual bump to 4K, nothing else.
Thanks for info. My sons and I have already played this game a ton and we still play it occasionally. $40 is too much for just a visual upgrade in my opinion. I’ll get it when it’s cheaper.

Would have been far better if it was one of the older track based versions. They were much better than the open world Paradise.

Am I the only one who absolutely love this game? It is one of the few BC games I still play.
FYI it is $35 if you have EA Access right now. Although probably better to wait for a price drop. I'm sure it will be $20 on a summer sale or something. I'm in day 1 though. I love some open world Burnout.

Same here. I still play it a lot with my son. I'm not paying $40 (even though it comes with all the DLC) for just a res boost either.
Hell yeah. Like come on now. We want that greatness.
Paradise is okay. Wish they gave it the full remaster treatment though. If you're gonna do something, do it right.
I'm torn. I bought it day one when it first released and have it BC. Even then, the open world never did it for me. I liked the system in Burnout prior to Paradise. I like crash mode too.

It would look a lot better with new assets though. Just imagine RDR at 4K, it would just make the flaws stand out. BTW that game needs a full remake.
For sure, but the assets in gears 3 are still very good, and they really benefit from the res boost. It was also a free upgrade, lol.. gears 2, on the other hand...
Playing this with EA Access and it is really good.
I can't help but wonder though if the high price was because of all the licensed music on the soundtrack? They may have to re-pay all these bands royalties to use their music. Guns N Roses, Depeche Mode, Faith No More... etc (plus sadly too many of these people aren't alive anymore

I wonder if they could have cut the price by dumping the soundtrack? We can all stream Spotify or whatever now ourselves anyway.
I remember reading about someone trying to mod Fallout 3 into 4 and running into problems with the voice actors and it made me wonder.
I do recommend it, but the price is a little steep if you aren't a massive fan of the original, but keep an eye out for a sale. Plus, if you have EA Access, you get 10% off which is 4 bucks off so that's huge!
