To be fair, there were rumors of them going to a 2 year cycle. Wouldn't surprise me if they just sat and milked microtransactions for an entire 2nd year at some point.

The prices on things are insane, but enough whales must be buying them to keep them going.

One thing the last game got wrong was map design. Most people don't want to play on those large, wide open campy maps. People want to run around and have fun, not sit and peek angles.

Map design was fine, it is the gameplay at fault for that.

I'd like them to adjust the footsteps and maybe even remove being able to mount a gun. At least remove mounting from a wall.

Some of the maps are just bad, and it isn't just me. Half the lobby quits for Piccadilly, Azhir Cave, Petrograd, etc. Putting those maps in 6v6 was a mistake. Maybe they work ok on 10v10.

Not all maps are good in any FPS I've played. I hate Azhir Cave too. But reletive to your initial issue, are they bad maps or is it the gameplay that makes them play bad? This isn't a run and gun game. Picadilly on 6v6 in okder titles would be fine, same with Petrograd. Black Ops 1 had large maps.

I can't think of a game where I've hated a majority of the maps. Gun Runner and Hackney are the only maps I have much fun in. Even the so called run and gun map Shoot House is actually really campy.

I think if they remade some of the fun maps from MW2 this game would play a ton better. Even the maps they re-did weren't great. Shipment is a mess, Vacant and Crash aren't my thing either.

I'm ok with a little slower pace like BO1, but you can't give every map safe spaces that people can camp all game.

But again, and you seem to be ignoring my point, it is campy because of the gameplay, not the map. You are calling maps bad because the gameplay mskes people play a certain way. Gun Runner and Hackney are camp filled also. It would ge like me calling Overgrown a bad map cause it wasn't campy enough.

It wouldn't platy a ton better because tge gameplay would force people to play the same way as they are. Same way nigh on everybody run and gunned in older titles, because that is tge style gameplay suited.

Crash is actually a great example, back in MW2 this was a run and gun map, in MW it is a campfest. Same map played in two very different ways cause the games suit very different playstyles.

You are welcome to whatever opinion you like.

I don't like the maps. That's not a fact to be argued, but an opinion.

Still ignoring the point.

I'm not arguing about you likinh the maps or not. My issue is you originally said 'nobody like the larger, campy, peak corner maps' (Even though all the maps are like that) and then blamed map design. My point is, the gameplay was designed to play that way. The map design is largely irrelevant. Even the maps you say you like are played the same way.

SIgh, why can't we have a good Vietnam war game? So many good movies & TV shows, but barely any memorable game.

I think studios are afraid to take a chance on anything that isn't modern. I think they look at the failure of a game like BF V in WW2 and think that the era was the problem (when in reality the game's core issues were the problem, not leaving the modern setting).

Bf is going modern and COD is staying modern. I think that's all we're going to get anymore unless something hits from lesser known studios.

That's unfortunate.

I don’t think the game is gonna be polished or ready but they will release it on time because money.
