Note sure I'm a fan of a revive mechanic in regular multiplayer.

Also unless there's an outfit with a pastel colored t-shirt and a sport coat with the sleeves rolled up, it will be unplayable. :tounge:

All the streamers have their opinions up.

Cross play still a thing (no idea if you can turn it off). It was a limited engagement so no idea on SBMM (but rumors say it will be there and assuming crossplay is on I would say it will be).

Possibly no scope glint? That's a big deal if accurate.

He says if feels more old school and kind of scaled back, which could be good or bad depending on how you look at it.

I'm underwhelmed so far to be honest. If this is going to have the same frustrating SBMM system in it and the same crossplay I'm probably skipping.

No jet packs and wall running = day one for me.

Old school feel? Day one. Modern Warfare was awful.

I think this is where this is going to split people. People who didn't like MW are going to love this, but people who did like MW are going to feel like this is a step back. The funny thing is too one of the big Youtubers loved Ground War in MW and didn't like the 6v6 in MW, but now in this game it is the opposite.

I see it as a step back from MW, but I also see that simplifying things, especially in the 6v6 is a benefit too. MW took a lot of the customization way too far and completely lacked any sort of balance. I mean silencers that made your gun have better range and damage was kind of silly. Of course everyone is going to equip that on every gun.

In this game, silencers are back to hurting your damage, so there's a trade off. Ghost only works when your moving, and ninja (dead silence) is a perk again, but in the same class as ghost so there's choices. These are the kinds of things MW changed up for the worse IMHO, so going back to basics is much better for 6v6.

They always make the best trailers and commercials. Having said that, REALLY hating the wide open maps.
I am not a fan of the tight maps like shipment, but I am also not a fan of open maps either.

All maps should have at a choke point and an area where teams battle to take and hold that gives them an advantage, but also can be overtaken. Wide open maps don't allow that. You can't plan and strategize with open maps.

I agree. And, some may think open maps are good for camping (which I love), but say in Battlefield, unless I camp near the choke points, I don't see people for hours as I am trying to camp off in the distance.

Looks fun plus a more old school feel? Can’t wait!

Only time I enjoy MW regular MP is on the smaller maps. The medium to big sized maps the MP is really annoying andnot that much fun.

I wonder when they will drop info on what’s coming to Warzone when Cold War launches.

If you don't like big maps, you won't like Warzone 😉

To be fair, most of the bigger maps in MW are designed poorly. Most of the maps in general have pretty major flaws to be honest.

The big maps were far too big for 6v6 for the most part. I want a little map strategy, not 10 minutes chasing gunshots hoping to find someone.

I'd love for them to remake a bunch of MW2 maps. Those were always fun and fast, with each playing a little differently.

If they would’ve done a MW2 MP Remaster like they did the COD4 MW Remaster I would have played the s*** out of that.

A video on the time to kill. Of course this is just the alpha build. I would also say that while this info is useful, it ignores that we've figured out the meta in MW, while in this game they don't have acces to all the guns. Seems like gunfights will be a little longer, but not all that much (we're ultimately talking fractions of seconds)

The alpha is up on PS4 (open to everyone).

I am not impressed so far. Just feels very old and clunky. I'm sure some will like it who are old school Black Ops fans.

It is only alpha, but the netcode feels heavy with lag comp. I was either wrecking or getting wrecked. Lots of kills where you don't even see the other person, and I killed lots of people who never reacted.

Scorestreaks or whatever are just completely out of control. The sky is constantly filled with spyplanes and chopper gunners. Footsteps are super loud and easy to prefire people again. Ghost and ninja are in the same perk class, so you can only pick one but both are needed (again there's constant spyplane spam).

The maps so far aren't huge, but definitely not run and gun maps. It feels like a "dad" game to the extreme, and I'm old and slow at this point myself. Lots of 2nd story windows and long shooting lanes. Snipers are much more powerful, and there seems to be no scope glint.

The player names are goofy, they are too high on the player model and offset to one side, making it super hard to spot teammates. Hopefully that's something they can fix. The environments are a lot brighter, so you probably won't get the shadow camping you get in MW.

Is it camper friendly for people like me???

From my limited experience, yes for the most part.

-The lighting is better so you don't get the super dark corners like in MW
-Ninja keeps your footsteps quieter, but most people are going to run ghost anyway
-The maps are a little big, so they don't always have obvious camping spots. I mean, camping is totally viable but you're probably not going to get tons of kills.

I was having the most success flanking cautiously. Of course hardly anyone knows the maps so it is too early to tell. The spawns flip a lot less so far, so things play a lot more predictably?

If the lag comp is as strong as it feels... it is probably a no buy for me. It could just be different skills, but it felt really strong. Like I could go down the list of players and tell you which ones I have a better connection than and not. There's always one guy that I can't get damage on without dying. I mean, can players be better than me? Sure, but to not even be able to get a shot off? Either they are super human fast or there's lag comp.
