Official Thread Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare

Yeah, you're pretty much forced into playing a camping style or sniper hunter role and the original MW didn't force you into any specific role.

It also feels like everyone has super aim in this like you said. The original MW there was a big gap between the good and bad players and you could tell who had some skill. Seems like there is no gap in skill in the Remaster.

Campaign is f***ing incredible. Beat it today. Well worth my time. Hell, if I had bought the regular edition for a straight $60 and never touched the zombies or multiplayer I still think it would have been worth it.

I think you guys are having a hard time remembering how the original game was...........

Nope, not at all. I've even clocked in hours in the original MW as latest as last year (I still play most CoD games on pc to date, including MW and WaW).
But again, I will preface that with the fact that I played them on pc. Never, in all of my years playing MW since the day it first came out on pc, did it frustrate me with the amount of snipers. Yep, there were always snipers, but not as many as I encounter now. I've even seen other forums complaining about the same thing...so it's not just me.

Sniper piss me off yes. But they're no worse than MW. At least there's lense flare so I can GTFO before they drop me.

It didn't take that much more skill. MW appears to be harder now, because it employs a lot of the aim assist that it did not back then. MW back then, was not as hard as it is now...it's hard now, because it's using maps from back then, with modern mechanics. Aim assist is so heavy now, that everyone and their mother are sniping, since it's so much easier to pull of one shot one kills now.

It's an annoying trend. Even BF1 has the rounds cluttered with snipers.

Then again, it could be because I played these games on pc back in the day, and pc doesn't have aim assist.

Oh okay. I always thought complaining about snipers or campers was a bit ridiculous though. It's so easy to just flank around them. It sucks when everyone is quickscoping though and you can't move an inch without getting gunned down. Oh well, as frustrating as Call of Duty can be it's not half as bad as Gears of War. That game is the ultimate love/hate relationship. No host, dedicated servers my ass. It feels like for everything they fix in these shooters, some kind of nonsense takes it's place.

You Just got to be a beast dude . Lol. I'm
Kidding . Finally got around to playing the remaster. It's been a long time . absolutely loving it. Playing quick and aggressive like I always do and have no issues . Of course when you run the proper perks , it helps a a lot . And damn! Totally forgot about juggernaut ! Love it. I totally understand now why that perk was removed from the newer call of duty games. It's total BS . Lol

Starting to get in a better groove last couple times I played the Remaster. Having a lot better matches. Mostly use the RPD, P90 silenced, and G3. Play a mix of Dom, KC, and HQ. Got my KD back up over 1.0 it was looking pretty rough there for awhile lol.

I've been dominating on the COD4 Remaster lately. Finally starting to feel like the old days. Game is still so much fun. Got my KD up to a 1.20 now, I mainly play Ground War since it switches game modes.

I've been reading on forums the remaster seems a bit harder, and gamers who used to rack up the k/d are having trouble duplicating it.

So it seems:

- It's not just a graphical remaster, but some gameplay tweaks too
- Perhaps the gamers focusing on playing remaster are mostly veteran gamers so the overall pool of gamers have better skill than noobcity from ages ago. I noticed this playing Black Ops b/c. When I played it months ago, I still did pretty good, but not as good as 6-7 years ago when it came out. The gamers seemed a bit better and hardly any easy splitscreeners anymore
- Maybe a combo of both

I remember my k/d in CoD 4 being about 1.80. Haven't played it yet, and by the looks of it probably won't play the remaster. Interesting to see what my k/d would drop to assuming my kills trend down like many gamers used to getting good scores.

I do agree the game was harder starting out. Took me awhile to start doing well consistently. Now I've been on a roll every time I play lately. I don't know what took me so long, maybe it was just falling back into the COD4 play style after all the new games. And yes I do notice better players regularly, but for some reason I mostly get stuck with the s****y teammates when I'm not playing with friends. Still a lot of fun and still one of my favorite MP games ever. I hope the new COD this year brings the series back to greatness because these futuristic games lost me.

Bought the map pack for COD4 Remaster. It's on sale for $10. Game is still a blast to play.

I've been in hinting about picking His up lately, even if it's just to play the campaign again. Can't decide between the standalone or the bundle with Infinite Warfare. Haven't played a COD since Ghosts.

Go for it. I think they did a great job on the Remaster. It's a higher price than it should be though so only get it if you are a fan of the original game.

IW is ok. The biggest complaint is that it is yet another future COD game, but seeing as you haven't played any of the recent games it will be "new" to you. Most people are just flat out burnt out after multiple games being exactly the same.
