Official Thread Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare

Went 23-5 in TDM on Mayday and my team almost lost. Yeah mayday, if you suck at Call of Duty chances are you're not that good at life either. It's not that hard. Step it up boys.

Played the free trial, so glad I didn't buy it. The magic is lost. Hope they get back to their roots. If they make a game set during the cold war I would gladly buy it. There is simply no reason to go this futuristic.

I finally rented the game this weekend. Typical COD schlock at this point for me. It has some really great graphics and cool set pieces, however, has the same scripted battles, enemies and now a cobbled together mashup of Halo and TF gameplay and visuals. A decent rental but that's about it for me :(

I payed $80 for the edition that includes the remaster. They should have charged $80 for the remaster and included Infinite Warfare. I spend this weekend playing some solid time in the remaster. I LOVE THAT GAME. I just can't get enough. The map Crash in the winter with the christmas lights? EPIC.

IW sucks balls.

I paid $55 just to get the remastered (on sale at bestbuy this week)....I don't feel that bad, modern warfare still has that magic :)

Yeah hearing the menu music play after ten years brought a tear to my eye.

Opening up my One S tomorrow. Ready to play the Remaster! I had a pretty big group of friends on Live back then we played COD4 couple nights a week for over a year straight. One of my favorite online shooters of all time.

Tried the IW online first while Remaster was installing. Don't care for it at all. The zombie mode was fun though.

The Remaster is awesome! Can't wait to get some more time to sit down and play.

Xmas is done Activision. Ok, where's my standalone Remaster $40 download option?

I love the Remaster. I was struggling at first, started playing better today. Ran some TDM then HQ. Just shows how bad these new COD's have become in some areas. Simple, 3 kill streak, balanced gameplay with great maps.

They should but it's Activision. We could be waiting all Winter. Getting it for $20 would be ideal. Don't know why i didn't just get the Legacy edition. But i said screw it with all the games there are to play. No need to get roped back into CoD4. You should at least be able to buy it off the store if you bought IW.

Snipers are annoying AF in modern warfare. Over 90% of my deaths are from snipers. Snipers weren't so overly used in MW before. Granted, I played the original a ton on pc, but many people used assault and smgs on pc back then. Now, it's nothing but pee pee sniper city in
MW.

I have been camping hardcore in Modern Warfare. No issue with people sniping me, but my k/d ratio is starting to turn positive again as I camp more with my M5 assault rifle.
Snipers probably have a hard time hitting me because I am camping (while they are camping). I will just let them shoot all the rabbits running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

No memories of CoD series will be as cherished as me and my buds playing hardcore S&D in Modern Warfare. Camping was pretty much required so it didn't bother anybody. Goddamn those were the best times. It's still fun going back but doesn't feel the same without my old teammates because they either moved on from the series or have grown up and life has kept them from gaming.

That's pretty much what I do. I camp....a lot. I almost always go positive, unless there's a ton of lag, and when I say positive, I mean, like 3, 4, or more + KDR.
Problem is...I don't like camping. MW back in the day didn't require me to camp so much, as players used the other classes as well. Now, it's like, the majority of those in the lobby, are just all snipers. It's annoying.

Started the campaign today. Good stuff so far.

Took a peak at the MP side for the first time since very very early December. Still no leaderboards or combat record. Wow.

I'm still struggling on the Remaster online trying to stay positive in matches. Never struggled this much in a COD before and had no problems in MW back in the day. Yes there are a lot of snipers in camping. I don't like to camp either and like playing objective, I can barely keep my K/D a 1.00. Really frustrating.

When people say they really made COD noob friendly since MW, they are not kidding. The maps in MW were varied and forced you to play the map. Now you just run around from narrow corridor to narrow corridor and let the auto-aim work.

You can't run and gun in this game on many maps like you can today. The maps simply don't allow it. Too many angles to cover. Someone will be prone with an M16 somewhere and will take you out.

Oh yeah. Well that's a good thing i think. Early Call of Duty games took more skill. These days you get a 3 kill streak and some ridiculous perk to rack up kills. You can be bad and hold down a 1.3 K/D with ease. If a good player is struggling with their K/D then that tells you all you need to know.

It didn't take that much more skill. MW appears to be harder now, because it employs a lot of the aim assist that it did not back then. MW back then, was not as hard as it is now...it's hard now, because it's using maps from back then, with modern mechanics. Aim assist is so heavy now, that everyone and their mother are sniping, since it's so much easier to pull of one shot one kills now.

It's an annoying trend. Even BF1 has the rounds cluttered with snipers.

Then again, it could be because I played these games on pc back in the day, and pc doesn't have aim assist.

I played COD1 (PC), COD2 - COD4MW (360) and never had trouble doing well in a match. If course you would run in to good players/teams, but I've never struggled this much in the old games and MW2 and on.

Yeah, you're pretty much forced into playing a camping style or sniper hunter role and the original MW didn't force you into any specific role.
