I doubt the maps will be paid like an old DLC. They'll need to give those away free to keep interest in this game for a whole 2nd year. Stuff like that always divided the community. There was nothing more annoying than buying maps only to find that half the community didn't buy them too.
Yep one thing I’ve learned over the years never take off work for a COD launch.

A phone number to play a video game is ridiculous.
Hate giving out my number to anything. Some stores here when you check out ask you for a phone number. I always say no lol.
The problem is a lot of pre-paid plans don't seem to support Activision's system. Mine does fortunately, but some like Cricket and Mint don't.
Mostly to cut down on smurfs and cheaters on the free to play side (Warzone). It doesn't prevent all of it, but makes it harder.
In WZ1, they can "ban" people all they want, they just make another account and update their hacks.
It isn't even really needed for the main game, but they probably want everything through one account.
I’ve been play Vanguard MP lately haven’t ran across people doing anything questionable and it seems like SBMM is not as strict in this game.
It isn't unusual to see older games dominated by cheaters. I don't think their current anti-cheat started until Vanguard and later in WZ so it isn't a shock all the cheaters are on CW. From what I understand, their anti-cheat is actually pretty decent.
I guess at this point I'll probably go with Xbox instead of PC, and disable crossplay. Hopefully I won't miss 120fps.
I think it already supports 120 on both next gen consoles

Correction: On all 3 next gen consoles. Series S has a 120fps mode too.I think it already supports 120 on both next gen consoles
