After playing a bunch, I honestly think that I can't buy this. Unless of course they greatly change the footstep audio. The walking audio at least needs to be turned way, way down, otherwise a decent headset is basically a wallhack.

Invasion/Ground War were fun, mostly because there's too much noise to single out one person. I don't think I can buy the game for just invasion. Mindless fun, but too shallow to drive most of my playtime. I've never been a big Ground War player either.

If they adjust the audio, they might have a huge hit on their hands. I can live with everything else, but I shouldn't sound like a tap dancing elephant when walking.

I disagree on the audio I’m fine with it.

I’m still getting the game because other than Fortnite and BF still not on GP I don’t have any other shooter I want to play. Plus a group of my friends are still buying it. I’m not worried too much about MP seems to be some modes I like even with the s*** SBMM. I just hope WZ2 is better than what we’ve seen so far.

Warzone 2 looks terrible, though.

-A bigger map for less players.
-A dumb zone splitting mechanic.
-Pointless A.I all over the place.
-A garbage 2v2 Gulag.
- A horrible loot system change.
- A dumb armour plate system.
Get rid of Gulag, it is a waste of time. The other mode they had in warzone is way better and more action.

This has me hopeful.

"While sentiment around footstep audio was more positive in Beta Weekend Two, we have seen your continued feedback on the volume of footsteps and will continue to balance enemy/friendly footstep audio ahead of launch.

Enemy visibility is something that came up throughout both weekends of our Beta. While many of you remarked on the improvement in Weekend Two, we’ll look to tweak increased enemy visibility to allow for better visual tracking of opponents that is not solely the traditional nameplate."

But completely ignored the biggest issue, SBMM.

What is “looting user interface”?

There was more of a drag and drop interface. More like PUBG. Instead of loot exploding out of a crate, you'd drag and drop what you wanted.

It seemed like a perfect example of changing something that was working. Apparently it was difficult on controller too. Not to mention bringing up a window in the middle of a gunfight to grab something on the run.

This game seems to be plagued with "change for the sake of change".

Wow drag and drop sounds horrible!

It really is. Instead of improving the game they just made it worse. I mean nobody asked for anything they changed. What they should have done is....

Smaller map.
Faster zone moves and contracting.
Dropped gulag completely and added resurgence as the default, or just left Gulag as 1v1.
Detached it from the main games in order to better balance both games.
Improve audio.
Remove buy stations. Put its stuff as ground loot.
Loadouts only get-able from drops.
Actual rewards for winning. Skins, operators, BP levels, Cod Coins.

Just a few things of the top me head.

What’s funny is they say they want community feedback and say they’re listening, but don’t actually do the things that would make the games better that the community wants. Plus keep things that no one wants.

I was listening to a podcast the other day and they said the developers made a post asking for feedback on the mini map and overwhelmingly the community wanted the old map back. So the devs make another post saying basically “well we wanna keep this change to not penalize people firing their weapon.”

I think the main thing they’ve done since MW 2019 to now is they want to cater to casuals as much as possible to keep the money rolling in and player base up and not actually make the best decision they could to make the games play the best they could be.

There's no doubt they are building this for casuals. IW is the worst of it for sure. It will be really interesting too if the rumored WZ changes happen. I think they want their hardcore crowd all in WZ2, knowing that we'll probably buy the main game anyway, if only to level up guns.

My stats from Cold War:
1.44 K/D 52.1% win/loss

MW2019:
.95 K/D 36.1% win/loss (what the actual F IW)

So, either I got really, really good in 1 year, or IW's systems are doing something funky.

I remember struggling to stay around a 1.20 KD in MW 2019. CW I was around a 1.50+ and Vanguard I think I’m close to 1.70. MW was always a struggle most of the time to stay doing well.

I keep trying to talk myself out of buying this game lol

I remember I could never, ever get a positive overall K/D in MW2019. Losing 2 out of 3 games almost was just brutal.

Check your e-mail for your beta stats. They didn't share k/d (lol). I had 9 wins and 15 losses. Granted a small sample size, but eerily similar to MW2019.

I swear their SBMM algorithm has a line which says, "This guy... F*** this guy".

No email sent to me 😞

Modern Warfare 2 players want the return of NVG mode

Modern Warfare 2019 innovated in a few ways, not least with its choice of game modes. Aside from the debut of Gunfight and Realism modes, Infinity Ward also introduced a new concept called NVG mode.

This amazingly tense game mode adjusted the game’s lighting so that the map was essentially night time and players needed to equip night-vision goggles to be able to see opposition players more clearly.

Reddit user Witty-Alternative628 posed the question: “Do you think MWII should bring back NVG mode?” and the verdict was unanimous.
