Call of Duty: Modern Warfare/Warzone - shutting down September

I think this game is destroying my xbox. I had this from day. After I stalling this game now it sound like a jet engine.

This gave was over heating my xbox, that is why it kept shutting down.

Thanks Activision.

There is a major pro lem where it shuts down the game and turn off your xbox one x.

This will be the last COD I will buy. No excuse!

I've played prolly about 7 hours of the game SP and MP and I've yet to encounter that bug. Apparently it doesn't happen if you have the game installed on an external.

Well I have it on my external 5 terabyte drive.

Have only played through like 6-7 missions of campaign and haven't had any issues with shutting down or fan. On internal HDD here.

I've been playing like crazy and only had the one crash. X1X on an external drive.

Make sure you shut down the game fully too, not just go back to the dashboard. Press the menu button and select "quit".

This has always been an Xbox gripe of mine. Leaving games in this "sleep" state seems to frequently cause issues. Most games need to reconnect to some sort of server anyway so it isn't like you can pick up and play.

I can't get any streaks going. The matchmaking always puts me in tough matches. If I camp, I go like 9-5 or something dull. If I rush I can barely stay positive. I spawn and there are 3+ UAVs and personal radars overhead.

I always seem to get stuck on those two massive maps - Eupraties Bridge and the big Palace one.

Once I unlocked the Ghost perk I can run and gun more now. Plus I run Dead Silence.

I just found this out, but dead silence doesn't work. I kept using it and even with ghost I'd run into people who were basically pre-aiming me. I just saw this video late last night.

Well, it turns out that it makes your footsteps quieter to you, but not to the other team.

Today's patch is supposed to fix the crashes:

10/28/19 - Title Update

  • We’ve done work on the backend to help with stability and prevent crashes across all platforms. If you experience a crash, please let us know
  • Fix for a Special Ops Achievement that was not unlocking after completing all missions
  • 3rd person footsteps are now silent while the Dead Silence Field Upgrade is active
  • Hardpoint: Adjustments to the hill rotations and locations on Arklov Peak, Azhir Cave, Hackney Yard, Rammaza, and St. Petrograd

Well the campaign truly is a Call of Duty campaign. It is fun but it's the same as ever. Enemy AI paying no attention to friendly AI. They'll stand in the open getting shot by friendlies waiting for me to show myself, or they'll come around a corner knowing right where I'm at. Gets to be a bit much sometimes.

Also, big yikes on the multiplayer. I'm sure I'm getting slow in my old age but this game is sketchy online. Ground War was fine, but some of the smaller maps it's just odd. Shoot first die first the Call of Duty way. Even in kill cam I get the drop, hit them 4-5 rounds only to die instantly. Plus they'll be shooting all around me before hitting me. I'm sure kill cam isn't accurate but come on. Then there was one realism match where I'd try some good fashion camping, only to be instantly shot by someone coming around the corner. Sometimes felt like they were already shooting, and in kill cam they come around the corner knowing where to look. Pretty sure I'd be too far away to see me on radar, or at least in such a way as to tell right where I'm at.

Or they have just been playing the game for 50 hours already and know every nook and cranny in the game, in which case I shouldn't even bother.

So has anyone played on an OG Xbox One have any info on how it looks? Because if it's not as bad as the beta I might pick this up. Need a shooter to play that's not Apex

idk the differences between the beta and full game, but comparing last night to the beta (One x now vs OG then) it looks so much better now., like the case of 720p on OG vs 1080p on One X.

For all its faults, this is the most excited I've been about a COD game in a long time. I try and stick to the 6v6 TDM maps and have a lot more fun.

Every time I play, two things always happen - I get super angry over something, but some other thing keeps me coming back in.

The other day someone was camping on the 2nd floor of a building. I try and flash them and kill them, but they are aiming at the door and take me out. So, I set a claymore outside the door and wait. I shoot a rocket at a UAV, and that person comes down the stairs and out the door... click-boom. Claymores are just so fun. On the cave map, there's that well/ladder that people love to jump down and try and flank. Put a claymore in just the right spot and you'll get an easy kill for sure. I love closing doors and putting them just on the other side. I've probably killed more people with claymores than guns at this point.

I wish I could have a claymore and a grenade at the same time. I have uses for both.

I've been using rockets to help clear out rooms. They fly almost perfectly straight, so even if you see someone peeking a window you can hit them from the other side of the map. Now that I run ghost I try and save my rockets for that or UAVs.

It is great that grenades finally are deadly again. You can't just sprint away from them now.

Has anyone been getting laggy matches? First weekend ran great. Last night I tried played with two friends and we got a couple laggy matches. I gave up for the night.
