Call of Duty: Modern Warfare/Warzone - shutting down September

My best kills match so far has been 8 kills we came in 3rd. Dude did me dirty with a pistol at the end.

Started having trouble with my internet again the problem has been going on for a month they can’t figure out what is the issue. My neighbor down the street is also having problems. Our signal is erratic so sometimes when I play online it’s really laggy. Looks like I won’t be playing much till they fix the issue I’m tired of dealing with it.
8 kills is my best also, but we came like 30th .My best was 6 kills with a win.

Tried solos last night and it was fun. Only got one kill and shot at a couple others but finished 16. Feel like solos the first ring or two needs to close a bit quicker. A lot of just running around.

The first one for sure.

Solos is hard. Haven't even managed a top 10 yet.

Dropped 9 kills with a win then we got another win shortly after. BR is a blast in this game I’m loving it.
Me, D-V-ANT and a friend are on the verge of winning nearly all our games. lke 7 out 10 games we are getting third or second place. Some tweaks to our decision making and we should be getting far more wins.

8 wins between us far! :bang::bang:

How can you be nearly winning all your games when you said 7/10 time you did not win? Maths aside, you must be good. For me, I feel most contact is like a coin toss, yet I see people able to get a lot of kills & win.

I feel the short TTK is a double edge sword. In one way its more realistic, & make battle tactic & discipline more important, but it doesn't promote a lot of strategy like hmmm fortnite where there is usually back & fore.

I only play 1/2 day but I provide more detail feedback as I progress more. I have the battle pass & it was pretty dullsville. SKins are cool, but I barely ever seen my char (guess its a nature of fps).

One comment before I return to work. I think the lobby size needs to reduce, not increase as they planned. The reason is simple., It takes way too long to feel a lobby. Way too long. If they increase the play count (to 200) & added more modes (duos, quads etc), it will be even worst, until the player count significantly increase. The encounter rate can be countered by speed up the time between zones.

Also, I am not sure if the game has legs. It's fun for now, but in 2 weeks, one-month time? How can they improve/evolve to keep fresh? It will be interesting to see.

Actually I said we weren't winning 10/10 times.

Do you not consider 3rd or 2nd as nearly winning? Cause that is what we get 7/10 times.

The reason for the lobby fill time is good connection. I'll take waiting 30 extra seconds for that.

Not to be technical. Well you said "winning nearly", that's different from "nearly winning".
When someone said winning nearly all matches, my interpretation is one winning much more than 50%. When someone said nearly winning, my interpretation is 2nd 3rd etc but not first place.

Lobby fill time is mostly the number of players to fill the lobby. I didn't play a lot of Warzone, But I played 2 months of Fortnite to know that. Less popular modes usually take longer to fill, & my bandwidth is consistent

Anyway, How did you become so good? Any tips?.

The majority of games we play each night we make it into the top 10. And of those we end up usually around 3rd place with a few 2nd places. So yeah, I think it's a fair comment to say we're nearly winning most of the games we play.

TTK is generally ok I think but I have come across a few WTF encounters while playing where I genuinely felt cheated. i'm putting that down to lag/cross platform play.

Couldn't disagree more. Absolutely bring it up to 200 players. It's already quite a technical achievement to run so smoothly on cross platform with 150 players. Remember that currently the game is still only in Beta stage as well so I'm sure they'll refine it and bring in other modes, better contracts etc. I think it should have plenty of legs.

Actually not very good at all.

Keys to success are not different than any large scale shooter, positioning, rotating, decision making. Only way to get better at those is to play. If you play trios, communication is massive, and playing with the same people regular helps aswell.

This isn't in beta. It is a loop hole that allows games in beta or early access to update their product more than a complete finished game.

Î play with randoms, & Jesus, some are frustrating, you can place the armors in front of them & ping it, they (not full armors) still wouldn't take them. Most players play without voice, so it's hard, & they do not follow as a team. I can understand skill level varies, but surely staying & moving as a team shouldn't be tough.

My issue is not technical. Its time. At the time it takes very long to fill a lobby. The more the player count, the longer it takes to fill the lobby.

Yeah randoms are frustrating. I stopped playing with randoms. Randoms are the worst way to play a BR.

Very long? Where are you...Australia? It takes like 1 minute to get going, that includes the free for all countdown at the start.

Yeah I think the longest I've ever waited was < 5 mins, and most of that was in the in game lobby (which is awesome btw)

Today is okay. Maybe around a min or so. Yesterday waited a few mins in lobby, by lobby, I mean the map where you practice with guns before the match. Germany.

Anyway, maybe I am new to COD MP, but man, so many campers. I do not mean rooftop sniper, but literally waiting in a room or back of truck to ambush you.
I guess its part of the game, but how is that fun?

Trick is to play it tactical when it comes to campers. Aim down sights around every single corner. If you see someone, try and flash them out or throw grenades to get them skittish. It can be tough, but that plus rushing campers as a team (communication is key!!!), is the best advice I can give.

That is just BRs. It happens in all of them.

Fun? Gamers don't do fun nowadays. It just sweat to get the W or get high KDR. To be fair, camping in BRs is a legitimate and effective strategy

Play with friends, communicate, stick together, build a loadout that fits you and get a loadout drop asap, always have a UAV handy, wins will come.

Big agree with the UAV. It comes in handy so often it's nuts, especially towards the middle lull. Always try to buy a full stack of armor (for myself and teammates because they always need it) and a UAV if I can afford it.

This game doesn't work well with random fill. Half the time I am playing solo as most players quit the moment they dead in Gulag. I don't think the using cash to redeploy feature works very well, compared to games like Fortnite & Apex. Very few people in random fill have the patience to wait long mins waiting/hoping for the other teammates(s) will redeploy you (& if even that is you that they redeploy, not the other guy).

On paper, the idea that your teammates can always redeploy you sound great, but in practice, most people choose to leave than wait. Of course, if you play with friends, it's fine, but as much as I like to play with friends, it shouldn't just design for playing with friends or solo. In Fortnite, while there is only a small window where teammates can be revived, you know fairly clearly if your random teammates can or have the intention of reviving you simply if they bother/or able to pick up your reboot card (in time) or not.

Also, the game has a very poor way to add friends, If you like the squad you play with, & want to add them, you have to scan through 100s of names under recent players if you haven't forgotten their username already.

In Fortnite, you can send friend requests while you are already in-game in 5 sec, & also it only shows recent players you actually play with, & not the whole BR list. Maybe in your 5v5 or whatever mode you paly it isn't an issue as the names are not long but scanning through 100s of usernames?

Also, the enter name function in Fortnite is a search (so you do not need to remember full names) while you have to enter exact name in COD MW.

In any case, if anyone wanted to add me, my useriD is Star_seeker#9613106,

My skill is not good so please have adjusted expectation, & I sound like Donald Duck with a sore throat with a bit of German/Singapore accent. But you will be glad to know I always wear full clothing (as opposed to just underpants) when I play.

If I play, it is usually later afternoon after work, Central European Time (CET)
