Anyone else running into totally lower skill players lately? SBMM usually hits me hard, but it seems like it took mercy on my tired, old self. I'm running into total noobs. I mean, total camping, hard scoping noobs who still miss the shots. Not everyone is terrible, but I have not seem players like this in the game in some time. There's a few decent players, but nothing crazy like I saw. I can at least go positive and sometimes actually win gunfights without using the absolute meta.
The Youtubers are complaining about the exact opposite lately, so maybe they finally put me in the "dad" lobbies for a change!
I don't mind some skill based matchmaking, but this game used to put me in crazy lobbies.

It is really weird, I'm actually getting killstreaks now. I had the lowest ones equipped and never got anything beyond a UAV. I was just in super hard lobbies. Now I'm getting my UAV almost every game. It isn't like I'm wrecking, but I'm just not getting stomped. It is really noticeable. My only other guess would be that the game was on sale super cheap, but that's been done already.
Maybe I just finally aged out into the senior circuit.
I think the new CR-56 (Galil) will be the new meta gun when/if they finally nerf the Grau. So sick of the Grau. Not sure how they can leave a gun so OP for so long. I can barely use anything else. The CR56 is very average until you get some of the later unlocks. If they nerf the Grau and leave this alone, this will be the new Grau I bet.

I can never get used to LMGs. I get killed by the PKM all the time but I don't have the patience to level it up. Even for my fairly slow play they are just so heavy and clunky.
If the weapon pass nerfs tge M4 like it should then I reckon LMGS could be the new meta. Then again, they haven't exactly done a good job of nerfing in the past, MP5, M4, RPG are all still meta. So, you'll likely just be using the Grau still.
I hope they significantly buff burst fire weapons.

Really? WTF!!! Why in the hell would you give the stupid 1 hit kill uncounterable snipers a way to remove the glint? That is just dumb.
The new contract isn't good either. The store is too much as is, they need to limit the usage not make it far more accessable.
Still didn't nerf the RPGs, and now the HDR does 1 hit kill body shots at any range.

I just started sniping in Warzone Rumble and it is so easy. I've never been good at sniping, but I can easily wreck people with the HDR. Supposedly they modeled bullet drop, but it is barely there even at extreme range. You barely have to lead targets either. I can snipe people out of vehicles at full speed (and believe me, I am not that good, I've never been good with snipers).
The glint was the only thing that countered this. If I can master it in a couple of hours, it is too easy. I couldn't hit anything in Battlefield games, but in MW it was like I had done it for years.
By the way, you have to load the game to get the patch (which is actually a MP pack), at least on Xbox.

Sniping is one of the major things that annoys me about Warzone. It’s too easy. Also not being able to play with XBox or Console only. If it wasn’t for friends I play with I wouldn’t play Warzone much. I quit playing it by myself if no one is on.
Yeah, the PC crossplay needs to go. We all play on console to avoid the cheaters and other things. They need to match input too. I'm seeing more and more Xbox players using a mouse lately. The only thing that kept that from being a bigger problem is the skill based matchmaking. If the next game turns that off, they need to keep things balanced.
They buffed all the marksman rifles and snipers, and seem to have nerfed all the ARs that were good. The CR56 got nerfed along with the Grau. Marksman rifles are now 1 hit body kills from decent range, making ARs tough to use. I only remember them being one shot to the head only, meaning it took skill, but now a one shot body is an insta kill. Kar98 to the body and you're dead.
The new map is just a camp fest too. Tons of long sight lines for hard scopers and there's few rush lanes. It is basically like a really big version of Shoot House but with even more camper spots and less visibility. You can sit inside stores and watch two long lanes and be almost impossible to see.
Is everyone else seeing the same thing? It is hard to tell as on lunch I tend to have really bad lag. I seem to get put in European lobbies in the early afternoon.

Seems like whatever break I was getting with skill based matchmaking is over. I'm back with top tier players again. If you run into someone good with the Kar98 now it is really hard to counter. Even if you see them first you get a few hit markers, but they can just instant body shot you. They knocked off 2/3 of a second to the ADS speed for it which doesn't sound like a lot but is an eternity in this game.

I played a couple MP matches on that new map before my buddies got on for Warzone. Getting 1 shot by snipers in core MP is trash. WTF were they thinking.
The changes and additions to Warzone was also annoying. They added way more money dropping from loot boxes and finding on the ground. I hit one building when I landed and had $10,000+ before we even did a contract. They also made the Gulag snipers and fists only. Plus snipers are even more powerful in Warzone, I got one shot in the upper chest with full health and plates.

I'm glad it isn't just me. It seems they want everything to be the sniper meta, but what's funny is they removed the 50 v 50 mode I was having fun with. It was the one mode where snipers made sense and should dominate.
With snipers, you can put a 4x or lower zoom scope on there and not get any glint either. You can still see just fine on a nice TV so you can get instant kills so easily. I've got an HDR build with a flash hider and low zoom scope that is an insta-kill machine.

So that’s is what was blowing up our chopper and Jeep our of nowhere last night lol. What do you do to unlock it?
Yeah that could be it. YOu need to get 3 quick scope kills in 15 matches using a sniper or DMR. I got it using the Winchester rifle with no scope quite easily.
Doubble weapon Xp, double Xp, and double BP progression is llive.
I was trying to get quickscopes for that new sniper and I quickly realized - I can't quickscope.

I still get confused, as I get body shots with the Kar98 up close and get a hit marker but not the kill, but others can seem to one shot kill me with body shots.
I must be hitting the arm or lower torso or something.

Take the scope off. Use either an iron sight or a red dot on a DMR. Then just just round around and snap fire it like a shot gun. It's easy to do it that way. Just check your loadout every few kills until you see the unlock counter has gone up by one, then swap to something better.

I always take stuff there with some skepticism, but it doesn't seem to be made up. Just something to keep in mind if you're planning on grinding.

It either isn't working or is bugged.
The previous 2x Xp worrked fine. You can tell the difference.
Tried that new Juggernaut Warzone mode with some buddies. It gets hectic lol. I can’t stand the gulag now with these weapon choices. Didn’t win a single 1v1.
Unlocked tge Bruen finally. Right off tge bat the ADS andd movement speed are good. Now I need to work on unlocks.
